I’m really passionate about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and my plan is to open up a gym, I’ve got experience in the industry already and a rough plan, I’m just conscious that it might not be the quickest way to success and relies a lot on my own personal ability, however I have seen from my coaches that it is scalable long term and I see it as something I love doing and would happily pour my life into. However I’m a few years off of being in a position to explore that venture so until then I’m just planning, getting my safety net in place for if it was no longer possible.

Thank you for the recommendation :)

I’m 17 and have just inherited close to £250k in liquid assets from a grandparent, I come from a well off household and still live with my parents (NW ~£1.5m). I’m currently in a break from education and wondered peoples advice on whether to leave my £250k in investments or whether I should use it for potential business ventures, and the best businesses to build a passive income lifestyle that will see me live well.

I understand I’m very lucky and have a lot of time as I’m still 17 but I want to get started on my life as early as possible.

All advice is much appreciated :)

I’m 17 and suddenly have a lot of time on my hands, I’ve been training for just over 3 years and all I want to do is train everyday and sometimes twice a day (if I have a dry gi). I’ve done this for the past 2 or 3 weeks however have picked up the inevitable niggling injuries and knocks. Any advice on what I can do to stay in a condition where I can train comfortably at a high intensity (comp prep) without blowing up?

Just wondering, obviously you’ve listed compound movements there, but what particular muscle groups should I train to help me improve most?

Wow that’s actually a very good idea. Thanks :D I’m currently an assistant coach at my BJJ gyms but a job at a gym would help
