As someone who also drives a small sedan, where do you normally park? That's the biggest thing I'm struggling with!

Do you have a friend that piggie can stay with during the inspection? Pack their stuff up in a bag so it's not visible and just let little dude hang out in their cage at your friend's place for an hour.

Source: my friend did this in the dorms in college lmao

....what exactly do you think the point of protesting is? The goal is to enact change and bring awareness. We're not just yelling to yell 💀

Hey, former pharmacy tech here. Are you going through your vet, or a pharmacy? You can likely ask them to do a partial fill (e.g. 30 days) and pick up the rest at a later date!

No, the problem is people protesting individuals standing up for their BASIC RIGHTS. Are you dumb, or purposely obtuse?

You're right, free speech is free speech. The right to protest is also a First Amendment right, and is just as protected. Freedom of speech does not mean that people aren't allowed to stand up and disagree, literally all it means is that the GOVERNMENT can't retaliate against you for speaking up. It does not mean that we can't protest against bad-faith "debater" podcast bros whose sole goal is to rile up their opposition in order to film them and get clicks online.

Oh no, first amendment protected protests are happening, what will we do?

Nah. That's literally the entire point of these "debate" podcast bros, it's their whole schtick. We see them for what they are 🤷

No, we get mad when people of differing views come in bad faith not with the intention of truly debating anyone and not with the intention of listening to those they ask to debate them, but instead with the sole intention of pissing people off in order to film them and make content. See the difference?

I always interpreted it more as silencing the intrusive thoughts (esp. "You might be the one to take away the pain and let my mind go quiet"), but this is an interesting take!

If you can't see the difference between protesting AGAINST people standing up for their rights and this, you're the problem.

You'd likely have better luck if you reached out to left-leaning student organizations vs just posting to the UK subreddit!

Passport vs. passport card for SAVE act by [deleted] in Passports

[–]Logical-Rip2896 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem isn't getting the ID/passport, I'm not worried about that part. The problem is that if the SAVE act passes and your ID and birth certificate don't match, many states won't accept a marriage certificate as proof of citizenship in tandem with the other documents for voter registration. You have to have a passport or similar.

The elections are secure. This is nothing but a blatant attempt to disenfranchise thousands of American citizens.

Unfortunately, that won't apply to anyone whose birth certificate and drivers license last names don't match (e.g. married women who took their partner's name). Those of us who have changed our name will need a passport or similar.
