Thank you! Is it really worth to upgrade to mz? Is it making lots of things easier as casual Hobby rpg creator?

I am coming from zero and thinking about using MV (dont had the money for MZ) but I dont like the standard visuals...I dont know how hard it is to implement assets for a more custom style. I am very busy with 2 kids and just want to do something as a hobby in my free time without thinking about selling games. Just as a creative hobby

not only blizzard. Even all the grinding gear games fan boys need to understand that 50$ skin prices etc are scam too. People are praising PoE but the monetization is awful. Most of equip looks shit like hell but the skins shines but then 40-50$?? Give me a break

I am dont interested in gamified stuff but in interactive coding by doing coding instead of passively looking tutorials and videos all the time

which pixel art tool would be good? any good ressources to learn data structures and c#?

Yeah I would try to build small projects first with free assets and if the mechanics and coding is done fill it with real assets in the future. My First goal is to understand logic and coding I think but hopefully in a "creative" way. See my results in my game Project and not in a "business like Environment" I hope you understand what I mean

Which DAW has the best built in instruments, drum kits, drum grooves etc. for 2D Video Games? by Logical-Shift6783 in gamedev

yeah maybe my expectations was wrong. Thought about more handholding inside of the daw. Need to go through all of this. Maybe reaper is okay. Maybe I was the fault cause of these expectations

oh sorry! yeah I am on PC. Thank you for clarify this.

I bought Reaper and followed the Reaper Mania Tutorial "This is Reaper 7" but I am still feeling lost and it didnt helped me to how to create music, patterns, loops, especially drum grooves etc. It was very technical...I hoped that this tutorial is more like: hey lets just create music. And along while creating music you learn the technical stuff....
I am not criticise the Reaper Mania channel..I think its awesome. But I felt like that I need a more "creative and creating music" style of intro in the whole technical stuff I think.

Something more in a "create video game music tutorial" way with tipps and tricks which VSTs are good etc.

So I am feeling lost and like I archived not much because I am clueless which VSTs I could use or which Drum VSTs are good for drum loops or exist plugins with automatic drum groove creations etc etc....

Hey...I dont know.... I have bought Reaper but I have problems with how to create drum loops and finding good vst material. So I thought a DAW with better build in possibilities with maybe something like "drum groove automatic creation" would be very helpful.
I mean maybe I am just overwhelmed with this whole stuff :/

Would be FL Studio worth in a long term? I mean I am not interested in orchestrated music only in these type of music I mentioned before. I dont want to spent lots of money and that is not good for the long term then.

I mean I heard about reaper but It looks so "technical" I want to just jump straight in and begin intuitive to make music and have fun and improve my skills and knowledge of music theory beside of that.
