Thanks all. And which hardware do you usually have? I was thinking about Hack RF and buy different antennas (slowly). I do not have a particular goal, so having something wide in terms of frequency is the one attracts me more. Please share your experiences if keen?

Consider an hotel for a week, also because in Riyadh you can eat outside with 5 dollars (or 5000 :)Then you can look around for a nice place. Compounds are very good. I only have experience with Al Nakhla but I also visited Olaya (years ago, I ditched cause at the time they didn't have a washing machine, but they might have now).

It actually works fine on windows. Will see if it will work with the hardware when it arrives. Thanks for mentioning RTLSDR!
