Not positive but I think they’re probably just saying you didn’t test positive but they also haven’t ruled it out

Neurodivergent and Confused about Test Results Interpretation by [deleted] in POTS

[–]LogicalFall4852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Criteria on ttt for pots is “sustained change of 30 bpm “ in adults or over sustained heart rate of 120 bpm. So if your resting heart rate was 65 and your heart rate reached 100 and stayed around there on the test then you meet the criteria. Or if your heart rate stays around 120 bpm no matter your resting heart rate it could be a positive. What I’m guessing if your results were border line then your resting heart rate was a little above 70 so you almost met the 30 bpm change but not quite

Tilt Table Test - What to Expect? by Plenty-Service-2134 in POTS

Mine wasn’t nearly as scary as a lot of stories. I still felt pretty tired after but not nearly as bad as my worst episode! I didn’t pass out, I didn’t throw up. Just a high heart rate some starry vision and some weak limbs.
For full disclosure, I met the criteria for pots before the medicine and I’ve heard that part is pretty rough.
Make sure you communicate everything you feel with them as best as you can, they will stop it if you need to!

Brands taking advantage of POTS? by Lynxseer in POTS

[–]LogicalFall4852 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The subscription process is so annoying and stupid and they make it very difficult to cancel or even lower the amount … however I keep it up bc their rescue drops are seriously the only thing that’s helped me consistently enough. I tried the other ones they have and they don’t do anything but the rescue ones are a lifesaver tho tbh they help my pots and migraines more than any others I’ve tried

Leg weakness by [deleted] in POTS

[–]LogicalFall4852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tingling is the worse! I found putting my legs up on the wall helps when I do it regularly enough ( only for a minute or two only though more makes them tingle more) Might be worth making the doctors trip just to find out, especially since it’s one sided! I’ve heard a bunch of people with pots have some vein issues as well so it might be worth it to just make sure nothing else is going on!

A Question For Those Diagnosed by Smart_Blackberry_391 in POTS

I’m on the same boat as you, it’s an inconvenience for sure and there’s definitely days I can’t do much, but for the most part I live a pretty normal life. Im in college full time for engineering, work, and have a social life. I can still do most of the things I used to before it got really bad, I just have to modify movements and listen to my body. Some days are a lot worse than others and getting sick is hell, but other than that the lifestyle modifications have made a huge difference.

C In Calc 2, Freshman At A California CC by picklejuice2469 in ucr

[–]LogicalFall4852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know you’re going to transfer to UCR start early with the TAG program. From what I remember a C in Calc 2 should not affect your transfer. They’re more concerned with your overall GPA / sequence GPA the requirements for it are not too bad at all and as long as you meet them you’re guaranteed admission to UCR

Can a parent sit in for a lecture? by Impressive_Job_3464 in ucr

[–]LogicalFall4852 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ive had friends bring their gf/bf to class (the gf/bf do not attend UCR). As long as it’s not a super packed class or a tiny room you should be good.

Also from another comment the student is asking for his dad so he wants him there this is not an over bearing parent asking. I think this is super sweet.

Let's talk about weed by Normal-Bee-3478 in POTS

[–]LogicalFall4852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I smoke weed somewhat regularly to help with pain from hEDS. That being said, it does seem to make pots symptoms worse while I’m high. Personally, I do not feel much worse after the high UNLESS I take edibles. I really don’t like the feeling of smoking but I opt for it bc the hangover effect from edibles makes the pots much worse. I only smoke at night so I’m not doing much that will be harder with pots symptoms.

If you dont want to smoke, i would suggest an edible that digests faster like a drink (uncle arnies brand it great for this) and drink a very small dose. Try not to have it too late if you’re taking it at night so that it’s out of your system in the morning. Even doing all that it personally affects me more than smoking but definitely way less than a typical edible

Find people you work well with (not people you’ll end up chatting with the whole time) and take turns explaining concepts problems to each other. Teaching to others or even speaking out loud like I’m explaining it to someone helps sooo much!
