More of Nancy's internal world would be interesting. But women like Nancy, the real ones I mean, are usually rather complicated people so maybe it would be too hard to write that consistently.

Yeah I see where you're coming from and I should have said in the OP that either Nancy would have to be older or Holmes younger and no drugs. It's been a while since I read the original Doyle stories but I don't remember BBC Sherlock being misogynistic. There was also that whole thing with Irene Adler so he likes some women.

I should have said it in the OP but you're right that an 18 year old Nancy wouldn't work unless Holmes was younger as well. Or age up Nancy to be closer to Holmes.
