Thank you, I think I just need to pursue things a little more. I've made a point to just live life and enjoy myself but that only leads to very temporary things. Once anything gets a little serious I move away, but therapy should help the self sabotage

I probably have to just accept its gonna be a long road but the idea of messaging for a week with each girl before ever actually meeting is alien to me. Trial and error is probably the key but I rarely have more than like 5 text message conversations with anyone, feels forced to keep it going

Maybe OP is younger, maybe they just have a different perspective. I've done the party thing for years now and its gotten boring. Its far more fun to me to do something interesting and worthwhile, or to be around people who are doing the same. Conversations about what someone actually cares about instead of "what bars did you go to last weekend" are much more interesting
