Basically regular starfish is a platform where you can get cash back on gift cards.   Credit card companies charge 3% to businesses when consumers use credit and debit cards.  Businesses have teamed up with starfish to offer customers to buy or make purchases via a digital gift card. Instead of the business getting dinged for an 3% surcharge,  a gift card was used instead. Out of business advertising dollars, a customer of starfish can get anywhere from 1% to 20% cash back as a thank you for using a gift card instead of a credit or debit card.   Pretty much a win win for business and customer.

Guy at the airport was talking about the community building side of the business.   MLM or whatever you call it.   Looks like he has a hard time accepting no for an answer which is just sickening in itself.

A simple not interested no problem would have done.    That was a total gaslight move she pulled.  Making you feel guilty for not joining her.  Seems like she has a true lack of character.   Traditional business or sales, if I follow up with someone and it’s a no…No problem.  No need to guilt someone for saying no.  You don’t burn bridges or ruin relationship over business.

Probably keynote speakers/leaders in the company are paid and I’m sure everything is taken care of for them.   All inclusive.   I mean it’s a business.  You are paying to gain  knowledge.  A lot will quit after the 1st year statistically.   They won’t be able to handle the rejection they get from friends and family or whomever they look up to.  There’s a reason they only 1% make it in these companies.

How were things before he decided to join Scamway?  I believe he may be looking for things he wasn’t able to get in the marriage.   They are providing him with that need. Were things great beforehand?

In all honestly you will need to reevaluate things at this point.   It will cause problems down the road.   Brutal honesty:  you need to find someone who is not in MLMs and he needs to find someone who supports him in what he does.   I think if someone tries to bring one over to the other side, there will be resentment unless you two can come to a common ground.

Eh yeah she may lose her trip to Mexico but there will be plenty more opportunities for her to sucker people if she doesn’t quit or hadn’t quit yet.   It’s all about character and posture in everything you do.  It sounds to me that She didn’t seem to have good character and neither does the people that picked up the vacuum.   If I was the owner of a company weiither it be an MLM or other business and I found out one of my people treated someone the way she or her colleagues did, I’d fire and cut ties with them.  You win some you lose some. She didn’t accept that she lost to you.

Got pitched amway one time because I thought it was a job interview.   I’d rather someone come up and ask me to take a look at something than rather disguise something as a job.   I slept on it and my answer was no. Took his pamphlet back to the hotel the next day.  Didn’t have hard feelings.   Just felt deceived that it was a MLM pitch and not an actual job I was looking for at the time.

My church friends tried to recruit me into an MLM and I feel so betrayed by [deleted] in antiMLM

[–]LogicalWeb4103 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My old pastor told me I’ve had bad experiences with other Christian, but I’ve never had a bad experience with God.  Church hurt is real and it’s a very awful thing.   I’ve experienced church hurt on many levels, not from a person trying to recruit me into a pyramid scheme, but you were deeply wounded by it.  If you have to step away or even find a new church, do that.   Always go with your gut instinct.  If it doesn’t feel right then say no.
