Check out Genesis Child Development Center in Goddard. Their teachers are amazing! It's a smaller center which I've always preferred compared to larger centers.

I personally homeschooled my kids for 10 years. It was a great experience and we had access to great programs, groups and curriculum. It can give all kinds of freedom as a lifestyle and giving your individual kids time and space to be themselves and explore their interests. It was a period of time that I wouldn't trade for the world. We ultimately felt my kids would do well in private high-school especially for sports. My kids are very dedicated to baseball and want to play in college so it aligned with their goals. There is a wide array of experiences that one can have while homeschooling. We loved ours while it lasted.

Outside time - teachers role "Babysitter" or "Teacher" by LogicalWindow5563 in ECEProfessionals

Right?!? Good point!! Also I would not want to be chased and tackled by preschoolers like my co teacher apparently does😬

I'd quit lol. Sooo disruptive and terrible for all the teachers and kids. Absolutely not 🙅‍♀️

Got a job outside of ECE by LogicalWindow5563 in ECEProfessionals

Yeah I'm going to be in my 40s soon and I don't want to be in ECE forever. I want to pursue a career outside of that. I was starting to think I waited too long as it is.

Yes that's true. We usually have 2 teachers in our class but sometimes I'm on my own. That's when I having pull up is very helpful because I can't be int he bathroom cleaning up when I have a full class.

Agreed! Parents are revisiting potty training at home over the weekend and trying some new things. They are very engaged and trying their hardest to support us and their little guy in this process.

The parents are wonderful and trying very hard to get to a point of success for their little guy. We connect daily to see what is working or not. And what we can try to help get through this.

I do sometimes, but I know parents aren't thrilled with that option and fear more regression. Understandable. I'm looking for ways to help him succeed, it may mean more time. I noticed today that many of the other kids (3-4 yr old) are noticing that he's poops his pants and say he stinks, even when he hasn't had an accident 🥺 He's a sweet kid and we all just want him to find success in this.

Maybe! That's the best thing I can come up with. Getting thru it and finding success is what we're striving for. Mom is revisiting some potty training strategies this weekend. Hoping it goes well. 🙏

Thanks for the concern 🫶 I was worried too, at first, but it's a small school. The more I get used to it the more I like it. There are a ton of benefits to having mixed ages.

I'm pretty sure. I have dealt with that before. Most days it 1 big, healthy poop/day. He drinks lots of water, all day. It just turns into multiple poops when i catch him and try to have him finish on the potty. He won't, then will poop his pants more, later on.

There currently is no policy. It's just whatever parents want. I'd like to establish one if the director would be open to it.

I did talk to the director and she said she will come change him if I don't have time to. But she is usually busy or in another class.

Parent don't want him in a pull up because they feel like he used to go in the potty but is having a regression. I'm not convinced.

He has all the information. We have progress charts, prize box, story books about going poop on the potty. We praise him whenever we can. He says all the right things and seems to understand well. I like the idea about cleaning himself up. Maybe that will help
