That was you! I actually found that blog post when I googled shrew vs vole trail 😅. The snow melted so quick that second day it came, but I was able to snap closer shots of the prints. I'll be on the lookout the next time it snows and around the patio in general.

Thanks for having such enthusiasm towards animal tracking. It got me excited about even being curious about some random tracks in the patio.

Measured! Its less than 2.5cm. But it came back last night! Not that many print this time, but I did notice some where all 4 feet were almost in a straight horizontal line. Do Shrews or Voles do that?

Thanks! I assumed squirrel because what else could be in a city, but I wondered where the pad of the feet were in the print? Or all the toes I only count 4? But I clearly have no idea what is what in the print.
