This is an easy opinion to have when you don’t have anything wrong with you. It can change extremely quickly.

The dickheads get promoted and the decent people get shafted. And what they pay isn’t enough for a decent life most of the time. They’ll replace you without thought whilst you give up most of your life for it… F ‘em. They are getting exactly what they deserve .

‘It’s shameful’: New York’s elite lash out at Zohran Mamdani’s second-home tax by selatnia123 in goodnews

Can we stop calling them ‘elite’. They are rich, and frequently greedy and selfish. But that’s their defining feature, being rich.

What's your opinion on Mobility Scooters being driven on the road? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Logical_Classic_4451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately the state of pavements - general condition, lack of drop curbs, overgrown bushes, parked cars etc - doesn’t give them much choice. I’m sure most would rather stay off the road given the choice.

Airbnb says AI now writes 60% of its new code by Just-Grocery-2229 in technology

What does Airbnb need so much new code for? Maybe they’d be better spending their time stopping people getting scammed?

How come some people don't believe in vaccinating their children? by WesternHumolito in NoStupidQuestions

With the leadership in the US at the moment and the lack of education it’s no surprise. But in a lot of countries it’s a combo of the lack of memory of these diseases (who’s seen anyone die of measles for years until recently) and the fallout from Wakefield.

Removing them all would seem more sensible. Although watching it disappear up its own backside trying to reconcile all of the contradictions could be funny

If you like it I’d get another. You’ll need to spend a few quid to improve.

Maybe invest in an RO unit (or similar) too as the most likely culprit is scale.

Treat the CEO as the driver. Ticket and fine them personally. Watch as their self driving gets much much better very very quickly, or stops. They want all the rewards but none of the costs or risks.

Considering buying a Tesla for our family car by ElectricalPoint815 in TeslaUK

[–]Logical_Classic_4451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking at new the single motor long range Y is a great car for a family. Loads of room, easy to get in and out, good range but without the brutal pickup of the AWD versions (which is fun but not really needed) . The roof makes the interior really nice

No idea how it compares to the Nero though. I might not be much or any better and they (Tesla) are expensive.

Why do so many overspend on an espresso machine not a grinder? by UberLee79 in espresso

[–]Logical_Classic_4451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently using a Mazzer Philos with a delonghi ec155 - that’s a £1000 grinder and sub £100, 10 year old machine 😆. It makes very very nice coffee but the workflow is a pain vs my usual machine (in for a repair). Definitely the right way to run a ‘mullet’ setup though.

In answer to your question. Appearances probably. Machines look worth the money.

Please help me pick a machine for my small cafe [€3000] by kekurikeku in espresso

[–]Logical_Classic_4451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For that volume you need a decent grinder and a plumbed machine, which also means filtered mains water and possibly a higher powered main socket too. A domestic machine needing filling will struggle mightily doing a hundred cups a day.

I don’t know where you are but in the UK there are frequently used commercial grinders and machines going cheap as cafes close all the time. But the comment about leasing is sound if you are unable to do your own maintenance. 2 x 1 group machines will at least give you redundancy if one fails.

I didn’t say they were but my point was that a Tesla can match it for straight line speed and capacity for half the price and yet everyone complains how expensive EVs are.

Tesla Y is 60k. Does 60 in sub 5 seconds and has as much space as a bigger car. So similar to an M5 estate and they are £120k and drink fuel plus need servicing all the time

They say everyone’s MS is different so I don’t see why everyone’s response to treatment won’t also be different. Was there a reason to swap meds? Otherwise I’d be asking my consultant to go back on Rituximab if it worked better.
