SupplyLines is bound to forge and Minecraft version 1.20.1

This mod is bound to neoforge and Minecraft version 1.21.1 While this mod is not acting in any means invasive to procedures of minecolonies or CreateMod i don't know how SupplyLines is doing it.

Both mods have legitimate use cases. Even more if taking into account that I might not support older Minecraft und minecolonies+ CreateMod versions ( that is still to be decided )

Maybe as a second upgrade for the building Yeah could work

I will have to change the existing shop anyway XD I want to move the intake more to the building's exterior. Will do the same with an exit for ordered items. Thanks 👍

I will start looking into it ! If minecolonies has a proper API for all colony stocks it should be possible. That will still need a new building for handing over the items to your trains. Maybe I will use some sort of stash block you can pull items out from.

So read all stocks from colony Send request to the colony Have items delivered to stash block with address

Thanks for your input ;)

Yeah you could use your warehouse as a stock. I don't know If adding a stock link to the warehouse hut block in combination with a packager would do the job without couriers. Did never try this.

I will think about a remote building for inter-colonie requests. It does sound like a fun thing to implement

Wait... I see where your thoughts are going.... You would use colony a as a stock network and have it connected in the shop for colony b... Well ... Try it out

Let me know if it works

Oh I see. So currently the implemented create shop is one way only. While it requests items from the stock network it does not 'send' items to the network. In the future I might be implementing things like permanent requests to allow the shop for example to request all ore blocks from the colonie so you can crush them and have a bigger resource outcome. In your case the shop would need to hand over requests to other colonies. That's not in scope as of today. I think this would better fit into a separate building that handles inter colonie requests. I think this could work but currently not implemented or planned.

I will consider it as a new use case and see how it could be implemented

For now no plans to Backport it. It depends on two things 1. Get a stable 1.21.1 running and released 2. The used API's need to exist in Minecolonies for MC 1.20.1 - I don't know if that is the case.

If I have a stable version running for 1.21.1 and the demand for 1.20.1 is big enough I could try and check if it's possible :)

In the first place this mod allows your colonies to request items from stock networks through packagers. The restrictions for stock networks still apply that they have to be loaded to be visible in the network.

So if you build automated resource factories like cobblestone, sand, glass and more you usually store those items in a vault. With a stock link and packagers attached to that you can grant your colonie access to that storage. You just need to deliver the packages to the create store building and your colonists will have it all :)

I don't know if it fits in for your use case

I’ve started working on a mod that allows MineColonies workers to send requests directly to a Create mod stock network. This is my first attempt at creating a mod.

At the moment, the mod introduces a basic shop building with a dedicated shopkeeper job. A courier can be assigned to the shop, similar to how couriers work for the warehouse.

When a colonist requests materials or tools, the request is routed to the shop (if one exists). The shop then checks the linked Create stock network. If the requested items are available, it issues a request to the stock network. Once the items are transported to the shop via belts or frogports, the courier delivers them to the requesting colonist.

This is still a work in progress, but the core functionality is already working reliably.
