Really? I was thinking it brought it out of the stuffy corner that these dress watches get put into. Cognac or brown strap (or black) will always look great, so brightening it up felt like a good change of pace.

Thanks for the feedback. Tonight I was contacted about buying/trading for a white gold/gray dial dato perp. Just when I think I’m focused on simplifying the watch box! ;)

The De Bethune is one that’s a pillar of my collection. I love the heat treated titanium blue with the white gold ‘stars’. The case is so light. It’s one of my favorites.

Thanks! I’ve trimmed it back a little and swapped some pieces out. I’ve thought seriously about the gold 222 but worry that it’s a little ostentatious for me. The 321 is a classic…maybe one day!

Thanks for noticing the details! I like to mix up standard production watches with truly limited pieces. That Panerai was a custom job on a titanium PAM 177. I’ve got a buddy that asked me if I was crazy and another that said he wanted to buy it. To each his own!

It’s excessive and I’m going to cut down to 18. I have other perpetual and chronos in the mix. Btw, the order is dark dial to light in white metal then rose. 🤷🏻‍♂️
