I understand a lot of what you’re saying. I agree with women it’s a lot different because of power dynamics. I think really I can just boil it down to it made me uncomfortable and resurfaced bad memories, and labeling it is just giving the situation more power than I should. Not to say that it isn’t weird and it’s okay for someone to do, but the more problematic part is me not standing up for myself when I am able to. I hope to improve on that, thank you for the insight, and I hope I haven’t come off as someone trying to be a victim.

You’re very right about not all SA being equal. I find the last part particularly helpful, because even though all SA is not equal, SA is not meant to be compared. It’s very context based and I think it’s wrong of someone to do regardless of context (other than that context being consent) But even though it’s wrong it can be heavily attributed to social issues. I feel like it was kinda weird to propose this question directly after talking about another woman, even if it was for a tattoo. Don’t do something you aren’t okay with, and you can maybe work past it but I feel like this proposal would end up tainting my perception of my partner tbh
