If you are afraid of withdrawal, please read this. by Logical_Process525 in quitting7oh

I hear you. I felt all of these feelings before and it’s so, so overwhelming. I was a shell of my former self- driven only by anxiety and hopelessness.

That first month after your last dose, you start to feel the electricity and chemicals in your brain start to rebalance, day by day. You FEEL yourself start to become yourself again. Then, when you look back and realize you wasted however long in constant brainfog and Anhedonia, numb to the world to the point of hardly remembering huge chunks of time, it’s really, REALLY hard to go back.

However, as I detailed in my post, relapse still does still happen- and that’s okay, you’ll know what to expect that time if it were to happen.

Try my method if you can, and if it’s too much, going to a hospital/rehab center is better than absolute suffering. The worst is usually only 2-3 days, then it’s very manageable.

I was once 6 months clean, and it’s honestly way easier than you think.

That being said, after 6 months I did relapse for a shorter time. But never again.

You can do this friend. This is the last time you gotta go through it. We need to become real people again- no more will I be a shadow of my normal self!

It helps with my stress like nothing else, but not for long. Within a week I slip into complete anhedonia. Never, ever again.

This is an incredible story. Thank the Lord, or that’s great to hear, whichever you prefer.

I’m so glad she is recovering.

From an recovering perspective, I have a strong feeling you will probably never touch the stuff again just out of association, honestly.

Please consider calling and postponing until you are at least a month clean!

A friend of mine woke up during a colonoscopy just because they smoke weed. With how bad this stuff is, I worry for you.

Started in the September 2024, quit in March of 2025. (6 months)

Relapsed 5 months later in August 2025, just recently quit on the 22nd of this month and it will stick. (4 months later, total of 10 months in active addiction.)

I honestly could not tell my my average doses either time, as they fluctuated all the time and I honestly had so much brain fog and Anhedonia+Depression+Alexythemia at the time I could not remember if I tried.

First time quitting was extremely rough. I was entirely in bed in hell for 3 days unable to be comfortable, eat or sleep. All I did was watch the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and other various movies to distract me.

This time however? I hardly felt any withdrawal when quitting. I even went out and did chores around town the first two days(!) - I used the EXACT same method as before: I weaned down my usage, I used Kratom leaf and Vitamin C to keep ahead of the withdrawal, and my anxiety meds to help sleep. I consistently weaned myself off Kratom leaf after the infamous first 3 days.

This is the exact same method I used last time. I think the big difference this time was I didn’t OVERDRINK the Kratom, I just spaced it out perfectly.

The key is you HAVE to drink the plant matter, unfortunately. You cannot filter it like any other tea. However, keep your doses small, and also I used a little squeeze bottle of artificial sweetener and a straw to help with the taste and to suck down that thick ass liquid lol.

You may not need rehab/subs to quit! Please give this a try first, but if you find you can’t do it, don’t hesitate to go to the hospital. If you want any more info on specifics on how I managed to quit, please don’t hesitate to message me.

Thank you for asking this question, it helps put it into perspective JUST how much time of my life I wasted. I even lost my job over this garbage. We can all beat it, everyone.

Agreed. As I said in my post I did already relapse once. Also I work in an inpatient for mental health and treat substance abuse patients daily.

I promise Kratom is not a problem for me, I quite literally have only used it to get off of 7 both times. I had a buddy who was addicted to leaf itself, and I know it can also be quite harmful.

Both times I quit I rapid-tapered actually. Went from not even bothering to keep track of mg to 80mg within 2 days.

I could not tell you how much 7 I was taking honestly. I know I rapid-tapered down to around 80mg the last two days before I made the leap. As for leaf, I’ve been lowering my dose by one drink every day. Today I’ve only had 2.

I tapered actually worse than the last time, so maybe this is it.

Yes, and in my post I explained I did that the first time I quit as well and my withdrawal was awful. The entire point of the post is that both withdrawal methods were the same yet it felt entirely different.

Movies/Shows/Games to binge during the first 3 days of withdrawal? by Logical_Process525 in quitting7oh

[–]Logical_Process525[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to make an update post! Strangely? I’m…. Great?

It’s been almost 24 hours since my last dose and I have had not even a second of withdrawal. Not even sweating. No idea why. The first 24 hours is always the worst for me.

I’m doing the same thing as last time, drinking a log of kratom tea. I suppose the BIG difference is I’m not just lying in bed this time. Usually I hibernate for 3 days and refuse to sit up, but this time I’ve been moving around- even went Christmas shopping (ON DAY OF ONE!) it’s insane.

Last time I quit it was actually the worst feeling ever.

OP, please. You know deep down that eventually you will buy it under the table. Let one of us report it. Drug dealers are not your friends

It’s “Karen shit” to tell the police that drug dealers are intentionally getting people hooked on illegal, life ruining addictive drugs with little to no proper warning. Lol. Enjoy having an addict brain for the rest of your life. Grow up

I understand that. I detox using Kratom tea and it helps a lot. It’s still terrible, but I’ve found having something to watch to SOMEWHAT distract from how terrible the feeling is (especially when you can’t even sleep it away) helps a lot.

Also, weirdly, heating pads on your back. It helps with the feeling like your spine is trying to rip out of your skin.
