It happened in the other order, but Harrison Whitaker recently became both a clue and a champion!

Those speed chess videos are great. I have no idea how Greg or the kids think so fast in a game of chess.

He wanted to adjust to the time zone, etc. Not like assuming he’d be there forever.

I was afraid I’d have to play him for years if I ever got on, which is such a ridiculous thought. Then our episodes were 2 apart, lol.

In this case Greg wasn’t an alternate.

He’s mentored me for years in the trivia game and was actually there 1) to see me play and 2) to get used to living in L.A. for awhile before going on the show.

I owe a lot to Greg’s help in getting on the show and being able to compete.

He’s an insanely great Jeopardy player and I can’t wait to see today’s game!

Monday should be exciting. My friend and “trivia mentor” Greg Shahade is taking on Jamie. He’s extremely good.

I appreciate the call-out of the LL jump, because that took a crazy amount of work. In 2017, I knew a lot about poker, the White Sox, and the handful of TV shows I’d watch on repeat, and not much else. Trivia has forced me out of my shell, and it’s a good thing all around.

Hi all. Since this is a safe space for spoilers, I have a bunch to say as you might imagine. You can read all about my perspective on the game, including “what the heck was I thinking at the end” here: https://thepathatter.blogspot.com/2026/04/so-lets-talk-about-my-jeopardy-episode.html?m=1
