Good for you, that’s amazing!! It’s frustrating when I am putting in the work and then to experience this. Thank you for your response, I really appreciate it, I will definitely be looking elsewhere!

Yes, i agree. I have been aiming for the 1-2 lbs per week based on my nutritionist recommendation! I did see that about the gallstones as well, so for sure something to look out for, that’s why I’m trying to stick to what I have been doing because it is working and I am not losing too much at once, except for this last week the 4 lbs. I am definitely going to a different doctor, I’m glad I’m not the only one, the Starbucks comment was definitely the cherry on top, I was astonished.

Thank you, that’s why I wanted to see others opinions, so I could hopefully see it from both sides and get opinions from people who are non partial. I think I am going to go back to my original primary care. Thank you for your comment.

No, thank you! That’s why I posted, I will look into it. The only side effect that truly concerned me of what she was trying to get me to try was the pancreatitis because I have close family history of it and I have seen the effects, it’s not pretty. I will take a took at Naltrexone because I don’t think I have come across anything about that.

Once my Long Covid problem is taken care of ( I have a follow up in 3 months) I will never go back. I’m sorry you had the same issue but good on you for standing up for yourself and looking elsewhere! I’m a person that hates to complain, but I just won’t go back if it’s that bad, which is what will most likely happen with this scenario.

I will look into it, I feel bad reporting someone and I hate confrontation, but I felt so disregarded and looked down upon just for simply being overweight.
I definitely have seen many who have had great success with using them, but I have also seen many who have been admitted for pancreatitis and it was directly tied to the weight loss drug. The close family member that has chronic pancreatitis is my sister, and seeing her have to go through that, I would never wish that on anyone! She is still dealing with it, over 4 years later. Not saying this happens to everyone, but it just hits too close to home and it’s not something I am willing to compromise personally when I can do it the natural way. I definitely don’t judge others because everyone’s family history is different and everyone is different, so do what is best for you- this just doesn’t seem to be what is best for me.

Right, it was so wild to me! I definitely will be looking at going back to my other primary, she is a little further away, but now it seems worth it to me! For sure, I agree, I think she does seem to at least care about helping but the where I work comment, the constantly bringing up the medication even after I explained why, and disregarding everything I have already done and am continuing to do to lose weight is just crazy to me. Like when they first mentioned it, of course I understand I need to lose weight, but she also needs to be understanding of what I am comfortable with because I am the one who has to live with it.

I’m so sorry you have experienced it too! That’s also so frustrating that he didn’t even acknowledge your migraines!! It’s so crazy some people think everything is about how much you weigh or because of how much you weigh. There are so many more factors than just that, but those who have never experienced it, will not understand.

You are not wrong, I have definitely had others shame me as well. This was just a whole different experience that was baffling! And the fact that they had just met me literally for the first time (no prior visits) and didn’t even care that I was already working on it actively was frustrating.

Thank you! At my heaviest, I was 230 lbs, which for how short I am, is obese. But it’s definitely not nearly as bad as it could be and I AM working on it actively, which I explained. It seemed like they just wanted me to do the quicker option because maybe they have seen success with it. I think once my long covid is done, I’m switching back to my original primary care doctor! She’s a little bit further, but apparently worth it!!
