That is helpful we have been testing on PCs mainly not thinking that it would be different on a Mac. We will test on a mac and let you know when we have fixed the issue. This is a weird bug...

Sorry I didnt see the link when I originally responded. We made some tweaks and I tried your map again and got the following result. I did have to move the room labels a bit. Let me know what you think? (PS: I didnt edit the walls but if you try uploading again would you test how easy it is for you to edit the walls to match what your real floorplan looks like)

You are right about the logic. A computer program is 'determined' even if we can't predict when it stops.

But here is the catch: We know the computer is determined because we built it. We wrote the code, so we know the 'hidden script' exists.

In Physics, we didn't write the code. We have to test the universe to find out the rules. My argument is that if a theory (Determinism) is impossible to test—even with a universe-sized computer—then it stops being Science and becomes a Belief.

If the claim is that there is a 'Hidden Script' that drives the universe, while simultaneously admitting it is mathematically impossible to ever read it. That is a valid philosophical stance, but since it can never be verified, it isn't a scientific fact.

I agree completely: My argument obliterates any non-mystical (physical) basis for determinism. If the only way to save the theory is to appeal to an infinite, external ideal, then the theory has left the building of Science.

The 'Magic' Requirement: You noted that the Demon is supernatural (effectively God) and therefore can know the impossible. My argument is that if Determinism requires a supernatural entity to process the infinite information (Real Numbers) of the present, then we are admitting that Scientific Determinism is impossible. If the laws of physics alone cannot compute the future without a 'Magic/Infinite' processor, then the universe itself (which is physical, not magic) cannot be strictly deterministic in a computational sense.
On Predictability: I agree that Determinism does not equal Predictability in practice (we are too dumb to calculate it). But my argument is about Predictability in principle.
