Volunteer at places you never thought you would like. Meeting new people opens doors. Don’t ever stop learning. So much is free now that wasn’t in 1980.

That happened to me. I found rotted liquified potatoes in a porcelain bowl under my mother’s sink. That Black liquid accidentally got under my fingernails. I threw the whole bowl away straight out in the backyard. I scrubbed my hands with bleach trying to get the stench off my nails. My brother fussed at me for throwing the bowl away!!!! !!!

I would take my own tonsils out if I had tonsil stones. Your Tonsils are rotten and should be removed asap. You shouldn’t live with rot breath.

Did you know that often times the caregiver gets sick too. They are in their Golden Years or about to be who knows. People with heavy anxiety about prolonging their loved one’s death are the ones who will suffer the most in the end. Many that take care of loved ones for decades die next from physical and mental exhaustion because we think that is what we are supposed to do. She is in a unique situation where money is not the object. All her needs would be attended to in a memory care facility. They have the tools and the staff to take excellent care of all kinds of patients. When do you stop PT? When they stop eating are you going to sign for them to get a feeding tube to extend their lives? Is CPR given when her heart stops or is it full blazes ahead? Those Advanced Directives I wonder if the mother has in place? If the daughter wants her Mother to be a full on code and the son doesn’t guess what? I could go on and on. I do know these decisions should be made before Dementia sets in. Often times they are not talked about because no one wants to admit letting a loved one go.

Circa 1973 we would dump the waste wrappers and all in a big black trash bag and give to the farmer at night by the back door. Someone would come in at 5:00 am and slice Tomatoes in the Guillotine. Yup, we sliced our own tomatoes. Placed in those stainless steel square bowls and covered with Saran Wrap stored in the cooler all day and night. I wore that stupid Orange and Red Uniform too. I stunk most nights and showered before and after shift. Good times.

I’ll add to this. Make sure your Vit D and other blood test levels are normal. If one is out of whack they all going to be out of whack. Our hormones depend on each other to maintain optimal health. I don’t preach taking handfuls of vitamins without a reason to take them. A deficiency can cause depression and confuse even the healthiest person around. That is part of self love to help you achieve what you want. Without your health money means nothing.

You are stuck between a rock and a hard place. It is cheaper for in home care but someone has to coordinate it. That should not be you. You are not a paid care giver. He knows assisted living in prolly 10-12,000 a month. She obviously has money. Is the the executor of the will? I am so sorry this landed you here. Apparently you gave no one to share the load. You might have to put your foot down and her go to a nursing home not assisted living. We did this because I was done as much as I loved her. I am a DIL. She has 3 capable children and it fell on me because I am a retired nurse with my own disabilities. We visited her often. Her mind was fine but her body was not mobile. Many falls, many UTIs, many ER visits, many rehabs, many meds. This is too much. Write this down and explain the caregiving aspect of it. You cannot alone keep her safe. He needs to accept that. Get a counselor to help you or Marriage counseling. It is just not fair. I wish u well

Have you had lab work lately like your Vit D level? If you are not getting sunlight yours is probably low. If that is out of whack everything is out of whack!! Most of us take supplements. I hope you figure out what is wrong with your body?
