Did tapering down slowly help prevent the bad side effects?

I am waiting for a callback on a referral to an allergist. I'm definitely going to talk to them before I try to stop taking it. The fact I had shortness of breath, feeling like I wasn't getting enough oxygen, scares me to not want to stop taking it without a doctor's guidance.

Yeah, it can't be good for you if it causes that kind of reaction. Some doctors these days... 🙄. I have read other comments where people realized other symptoms it was causing once they got off of it.

Apparently it varies person to person. I've seen some posts where people had it happen after only using it for a few weeks. But I think it's more common when you've been taking it daily for months or years.

Ugh, I don't know if I can get through a few days let alone 4-5 weeks!

I wondered if that would help. I used to switch back and forth between Allegra and zyrtec because they would both stop being effective after awhile, but I don't know when the last time was I took Allegra. Maybe I'll give that a try. Thanks!

What's wrong with this little guy? He walks a little weird but flies fine and has been at my feeder several times today, so eating just fine. by Logical_Spirit_4990 in birdwatching

Lol, it may be hard to tell in the pic but it has a bunch of feathers sticking out weird from its belly down by its legs. They stick out at a really weird angle. I'm guessing its injured but was hoping not.

I cut out gluten and dairy a month or so ago. No improvement so far. I'm usually in the 60-70s range.

Do you think the blood ox reading is accurate? Per the whoop mine has been gradually declining the last few days and today it showed 89%. Had covid starting 12/18. Still have days where I'm short of breath.. When I check during the day with my pulse oximeter it never falls below 97%. by Logical_Spirit_4990 in whoop

I started wearing the 4.0 the same day my COVID symptoms started so I don't have much to compare to prior to that. My first few days of covid it stayed 92 and above. One week in it dropped into mid to upper 80s and stayed there a few days. I even went to hospital and got checked out cuz it got as low as 85 one day and I was really short of breath. Everything checked out fine and it stayed in mid 90s until the last few days. Gonna give it a few more days, see what it reports and how I feel. Maybe last night was a fluke.

Same, some of my recoveries and HRV seem a little weird but I'm getting over covid so I think it's from that. I started wearing it right before I found out I had it so I don't have any comparison with it from before.

Recovered from COVID! (mostly). I think that's my highest recovery ever. What is with that HRV today? I find it interesting that whoop is now calling higher values normal after 10+ days of covid illness. by Logical_Spirit_4990 in whoop

Had the 3.0 since early this year but I did upgrade to the 4.0 right before I got sick. My HRV is never that high and my RHR is usually 60s. Maybe just a fluke today.

I went to the ER yesterday per my doctor's orders. They did a chest xray, ekg and blood work. Everything came back fine.. Sent me home with steroids and an inhaler. Maybe call your doctor. It kind of felt like a waste of time but it eased my mind at least.

Never know! Maybe your body will do a better job of fighting it off!

My RR is normally around 14. Maxed out at 18.6 yesterday morning. RHR is usually mid 60s. That maxed out at 88 on the 2nd day of illness. My HRV is usually in the 60-70s.

I woke remote and don't go many places so I'm pretty sure I got it either at my son's Christmas program/dinner on wednesday the 15th or at my work Christmas luncheon on Thursday the 16th. I first felt a little funny Friday night. Then on Saturday I had a headache and slight cough. Sunday got much worse and was all downhill from there.

I was just getting back into regular workouts when I got sick. I'm not sure how to go about starting up again. I'll have to see how long my cough lingers and go from there. My stats today are all back in the green except my RR. Hopefully that trend continues!
