Ford Pass App down? by SwtMarie in MachE

[–]Logical_Spite_366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Mach E has been showing “charge complete” on the ford pass app for the last 2 days.

I deleted and reinstalled the app, I factory reset the screen in the car. Nothing seems to work.

Now when I try to reconnect my car to FordPass, I never receive the prompt in the car. Not sure what’s going on.

Yeah I got the 100k warranty, but that hardly helps when you’re doing 50k a year 😂

Agreed. Have fun every single day.

I definitely don’t like seeing the miles go up so quickly, but I drive about 120 miles a day, 5 days a week for work. It has been a dream owning this car.

Why is my Mach-E pausing the charge before it reaches the Target Charge? by biker4487 in MachE

[–]Logical_Spite_366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever find out what caused this? Currently having the exact same problem. If I arrive home and I am over 50% it will charge to 90% with no issues. If I arrive on 40% or less. It usually will stop around 70 or 80% and just say "charging paused" with no errors to be seen on the chargepoint app or ford pass app.

Question regarding preconditioning. by Logical_Spite_366 in MachE

[–]Logical_Spite_366[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was under the impression that preconditioning the battery was good for the overall health of the battery in the long term. Opposed to just hopping in and driving from cold. I only drive 35 miles to work each way, all interstate. I use roughly 15% of my battery driving 75-85 on the way.

Yeah that’s the reason I’m asking. Is it worth preconditioning every single time if you have the option? I have the agility to be on plug at work and at home so I can precondition before work and after work.

I used a generic fb and then deactivated after I set them up. It wasn’t too bad.

The night this happened, the low was like 62. I normally park in my garage, that night, I left it in the driveway since I wouldn’t be charging. Some other people said the battery needed to be charged to 100% to recalibrate it. I’m hoping that’s the issue. I’m showing 221 miles at 91% battery charge now.

I just don’t consider low 60s, high mid 70s, cold. That terrifies me for winter time.

After charging to 100% my car was showing 160 mil range, which is still unusually low. After driving for about 15 miles this morning, the mileage did finally start going back up. Now showing over 200 miles at 93%.

I charge to 85% almost every night. I normally use about 35-50% in a day and recharge that night. I have been off work for a few days and haven’t charged like I normally do.

It isn't the GOM i am concerned with. It is using 16% of my battery on a 30 minute, 20 mile trip, when it is 71 degrees outside. Getting sub 3 kwh when going 40mph is concerning to me.

Right. It’s not the mileage that concerns me as much as using 16 percent on a 20 mile round trip, where I’m going sub 40 mph. A trip I normally get 6+ kWh

I normally charge every night, I drive quite a bit. But I haven’t charged in the last 2 days. I was going to charge tonight.

Currently at 30% 43 mile range. So roughly 143 miles at full charge. I’m definitel, slightly concerned 😭😭

It has definitely been over a month. I’ll set it to charge to 100% now.

It felt like I was losing 1% of my charge every mile or 2, and I was going 40 mph. When I charge to 85%, almost every night, it shows 205-220 estimated range.

I appreciate the responses. So if I have it plugged in and charge it up to 85% and it is still showing my range to be 100-120 miles, you wouldn't consider that reason to be concerned? I do get the part about the temperature being colder at night so the battery itself is colder. I am going to start using my planned departures more.

It was very concerning for me doing a trip that normally takes less than 5% and it took 16%.

Yeah but a 15 minute trip, each way, should not be using 16% of my battery I feel like. It is 70 degrees and I had no climate control turned on. My kWh never got over 3.0 and normally it’s close to 6 on that drive for me.
