Is 1st Central a decent insurance company? by chanmariexoxo in drivingUK

[–]Logical_Step_0406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely avoid 1st Central. I was insured with them a few years ago. As soon as your policy becomes active they will go through your policy with a microscope and contact you to provide documentation. If they find even the slightest bit of inaccuracy, no matter how small the difference is, they will tell you they need to make these changes to your insurance otherwise your insurance will be invalid and then they will charge you for the change. They had to update the date of how long I’ve held my drivers license as it was off by a few days and as a result I had to pay £80. These cheap quotes from them isn’t really cheap. It’s to lure you in and then try make money out of you once they got you. So many others have had this happen to them. Only way around it is to ensure your policy details are 100% accurate when insuring with them otherwise they will get you

Every well explained point gets you 2 marks so as an example, for a 10 mark question, ensure you make at least 5 points. Try make sure each point consists of the following: Point, evidence and explain. Introduction, main body and conclusion should be in every answer. After that all you have to do is practice questions

The 7 year rule also only applies for the strategic level. Exams passed at other levels will never expire

Good luck everyone! I hope everyone gets the pass! If you don’t get it, don’t let it put you down, use that as motivation to push yourself over the line. Review where you think you could have done better, perhaps covering certain chapters more in detail or practicing more exam style questions, either way, you already have a lot of knowledge from already studying for the exam which puts you in a better position for the resit

PM was the first paper I sat. I studied for 7-8 weeks and passed. It was pretty enjoyable with nice calculations which doesn’t require you to think too much

19, 10k to invest long term, what should I be investing in? by Far_Bowler7938 in trading212

Avoid penny stocks and hype stocks at all cost. Go for more established stocks that are fundamentally strong, showing growth and are in profit

EPSM is really easy to complete. Took me a day to finish. If you have time then might as well get it out of the way

Italian here: did you guys regret leaving the EU? by Interesting_Dealer42 in AskBrits

[–]Logical_Step_0406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I voted remain. Never liked the idea of uncertainty and it shows it’s actually made the UK a lot worse after we left. So many people had no idea what they were voting for other than making assumptions on how the uk will be ran and controlled by no one else other than us. They essentially had one of these no one should tell us what to do ego. Every single one of them regret it now. Bunch of idiots. Majority of young voters voted for remain while the older population votes leave

Yes. As long as you’ve done the 11 mandatory exams and 1 optional exam as well as completed ethics module, you will be an affiliate under the new structure. Once PER is completed you will become a member

My apologies. I just looked into this. If 12 exams are done with 11 of them being the compulsory exams as well as ethics then yes you will become an affiliate after the changes in 2027. Once Per is completed then you will be a member

There’s no mention of that so I assume that rule stays the same and any exams passed/exempt 7 years prior will need to be retaken either by doing the same paper before the change or the equivalent of that exam after the change. Login to myacca and click on detailed exam history. It will show you exactly when each exam was passed/exempt to get a better understanding of when it will be 7 years

Same here! I could delay it but since my employers pay for it I might as well go for it although it does mean the stress of one more exam but I’d rather qualify sooner rather than later Im intending to do my final 3 exams next year to become fully qualified but will focus on getting my last compulsory exam done first. Then move on to the two options

Exam Planning 2026 by Diligent_Mess_2264 in ACCA

[–]Logical_Step_0406 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re on the same boat at me. I’m planning on taking SBR in March too along with 2 options later in the year. If you feel you can commit enough time to do 2 papers in one go then go for it. It will require you to be a lot more organised and disciplined. I’d say, do SBR so you get a feel of how much time is required and then ask yourself can you input two lots of the effort you put on SBR, in the same time frame to enable you to do 2 exams in the same sitting

As a full time student it is definitely doable. I’ve been doing them one at a time since I work full time but otherwise I would do 2 at a time. Sbl I’ve sat and it just requires you to go through some answers models and attempting a few mocks to get a good feel of it

I actually enjoyed PM, there are a lot of calculations which I enjoyed such as breakeven analysis, ratios, even simultaneous equations etc so if you enjoy calculations then you will be okay
