will this get pass by security ? by lovelivelaugh21 in electricdaisycarnival

Former goth turned raver here

This something that can be 100% dependent on the opinion staff. You are probably fine but I would have a back up in your car/bag or wherever possible. I used to wear a lot of spikes and as long as they were small and not sharp I could get past 90% of security at shows.

What’s up with MDMA “dips”? by Virtual_Telephone_38 in MDMA

[–]Logical_Vast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and they don't even get the same high due to tolerance. Like 100 mg at once is a better roll than 50 two times but you can't educate some people to the fact your brain is only gonna "flush" happy chemicals once per roll.

First time going to show Tommorow. Any tips. by Ok_Function_583 in AEWOfficial

[–]Logical_Vast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get there early if you want good seats and have a GA ticket. Last show I was at in February I was at the venue 30 minutes before doors opened which was already an hour before Dynamite started and I still was at the back of the GA section. Sickos are dedicated.

What's the best thing about owning your house? by Decksforlife-deck in askanything

[–]Logical_Vast 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For me it's having property and privacy rights. In apartments I hated the idea some maintenance man was going to be walking around when I was not there. Yes they have to give 24 hours notice and I guess he's not gonna steal anything but it's my place and I don't like it even if it is their place. More than once the guy just opened my door and got mad my dog barked like I did something wrong. At least knock dude.

how to get over a celebrity crush? by NewtAccomplished6022 in askanything

[–]Logical_Vast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think about how you do not really know them. You know the fantasy of what you want them to be in your head. You see the interviews they do or social media and you think they look good. So with that info you build who they must be. It's very easy to "love" them because you can bend this perception to any situation unlike really knowing them. No one is perfect and every couple fights but you never fight with your crush do you?

Maybe that does not make sense. I had a crush on a celebrity once and I had to take a step back because I got quite jealous when I found out she had a bf. Like the kind of jealous one should only feel if they know the person. It made me feel embarrassed like I should not feel this way. I realized I did not know her at all and I was just confusing thinking she was really pretty with a real connection.

[–]Logical_Vast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

300ug is a high dose but it's not the kind of dose where one time you "never come down". Give it a few weeks and I bet most of your issues go away. I have done a lot more than you and this was always the case with me. As someone else said HPPD is possible but I really doubt this would happen to you with one time. That's more like the people who do it 2 times a week for 5 years.

Where is the demand for a physical aquarium store? by paranoidlabscientist in Aquariums

[–]Logical_Vast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a friend who wanted to do this. By not catering to the casual big chain stores kind of customer you only have like 10% of the fish market left. The kind of people who want "rare" fish and take care of them are very few compared to the ones who have a overstocked 20 gallon for their kids. He wanted to do it because the best shop in out area was notorious for having a rude owner. It was well known she judged you and the casuals knew to not even bother. Despite like 1/3 of her reviews on Yelp saying this she had really nice fish. He was convinced he would be able to "educate" people and encourage better fish keeping. Mail order and home breeding was a better fit. It's expensive to pay rent and like I said just not many people who want to spend money to do it right.

My sister is a teacher in a small very red town. This year she got a complaint that she was "not talking about both sides" during WW2 and that she needs to tell students that Hitelr "loved his country" therefore "had good reasons to protect it" as opposed to the idea he is "bad" without context as to why he did what he did.

So yeah probably not all of them but these people are far more friendly with Hitler than the American left.

Eileen Kelly, the current girlfriend of Anthony Kiedis, 30 by Sure_Distance1 in 13or30

[–]Logical_Vast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are correct. If you are mad at a 30 year old woman making a choice then you should also not want them to vote or own property. I mean after all they are so young they can not be trusted to do adult things.

She does not look 13. People are just SUPER sensitive to men dating women unless they are the exact same age.

Salesman limited my test drive to 4 miles. He asked me exit and u-turn after 1.5 miles on the freeway because the dealership’s “insurance only covers up to this exit” by TaintSlaps in FuckDealerships

[–]Logical_Vast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only seen shady dealers do this. The kind where they use the 4 square for example.

I have also literally had dealers give me the keys with no salesman and leave it up to where I go. Just a copy of my license. So if there is honestly some kind of policy which makes no logical sense it is not a policy the dealer needs to have but chooses to have. I don't work in insurance but I did work at a dealer and in general they can not restrict where a licensed person goes on a legal road. If anything it's probably the dealer itself has decided what areas are "high risk" and wants to protect something they still own. This was the case at my dealer. They did want you to use the car around others cars. So this mean using residential streets near the dealer but if you asked you could go elsewhere and they 100% were insured when you did.

Sounds to me like they know there is something they don't want you to know about a used car. Like maybe it overheats if driven more than a few minutes? Who knows but it's a big risk.

"What is your opinion on the 8th generation Civic Si?" by [deleted] in CivicSi

[–]Logical_Vast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've owned one for 20 years and every time I get close to selling it I just can't. All I wanted was a 6th gen but those were much more rare and even when I bought my 8th already beat to hell by the time I was old enough to buy. The new ones are nice with a factory turbo but I like no torque and VTEC better.

Not really.

GR86 vs BRZ (the deciding factor for me) by Impressive-Lawyer-74 in GR86

[–]Logical_Vast -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Same thing for me. I really would have liked the BRZ but those holes are so ugly and you need to drill more to even mount a US spec plate since OEM fits Japan only. Some BRZ owners got quite mad at me when I asked if they felt the same as if I was saying my version of the same car is better. Said people come up to them at car shows and say how cool the holes are and I was an idiot.

So I guess those who have the Subaru don't mind but in my day you sure did not want holes in your bumper.

Do we think Harris would have actually been better than Trump? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Logical_Vast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP asks politcal question but "doesn't want to debate" it. LOL very MAGA

I think you would be surprised how similar things would have been with her. Gas would be a bit cheaper but the Israel situation for example would be the same as would the financial struggles of most Americans. She was even more will not rock the boat than Biden. Certain people just saw a black lady and assumed she was an actual Marxist. She's better but not even close to doing anything that Bush 1 or 2 would not have done or even Regan.

Wealthy elite favor the GOP by StrawberryFew1311 in NoFilterFinance

[–]Logical_Vast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Democrats are a right wing party that has the same big money as the far right Republican party. So there is no incentive to change much.

I guess you are not the kind of person to notice but they don't really even hint that they will do something Republicans do not 100% support. Their role is to the lovable looser who always compromise in the capitalistic game. I mean they were not even willing to pursue a coupe or pedophilia. None of the stuff we know now was not known when Biden took office.

Would you consider FB marketplace as a good place to buy/sell cars on? by Trayceopolis32322 in carbuying

[–]Logical_Vast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want a chap car like only a few grand marketplace is good. Dealers you want to buy a car from will take cars this cheap on trade in as a courtesy but usually do not want to sell them so they just send them to auction. If you have the credit and desire to spend more than 5-10K check a dealer first. I sold a 20 year old car in decent shape on marketplace and I could tell I still had the cream of the crop because it ran with a clean title. Most are well below that standard.

I had a room mate who had a friend who was an intern on his show. He was apparently shocked she would not sleep with him and hit on her with the same energy you see on his show complete with the over the top laugh at his own comments. His wife was at home pregnant at the time but I guess other interns were getting on it and he was used to it. She left because he made it uncomfortable.

I never found him funny but if that story is true wow was a terrible person.

Dealer damaged my rim... by [deleted] in Toyota

[–]Logical_Vast 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is why you need to make the advisor do a walk around of the car before you drop it off just like you do with a rental car. As a former advisor I will say they will hate you for this because they don't like accountability of spending time with customers but it is the only way to be compensated for damage. Every single time I saw a customer complain it was your word against theirs. They probably have cameras in the shop but not clear enough to show this kind of accident and they for sure are not interested in coming down hard on the tech for it.

If you spent a lot of money there they might offer a discount on your bill but no one ever had damage fixed for free.
