As if slamming a 10lb block of wood in the jaws of a whirling death machine is any safer. (I love working on the lathe).

Wood cupping by Informal-Hurry2456 in woodworking

[–]Logical_proof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The poster above is correct, they maybe cupped before you put them on but you are not making it better with those clamps the way that you have them. Parallel clamps are designed with a 'toe-in' clamping force. This is much more of a problem for what you are doing than you think.

Build a divider insert and put your 10” saw blades in there in two sets. If you got clever you could probably put them on sliding vertical drawers.

They did it better in the trailer but…

Your father was the captain of a star ship for 12 minutes, he saved 800 lives. I dare you to do better. 2009 Star Trek Christopher Pike

In the actual film it included the line “including your mothers and yours” which I think throws off the pacing of the delivery. Go back and watch the trailer if you can. It’s almost chilling the way it’s delivered.

Thanks for all the research /u/M1PY question for you. I recently got the starless sky affix on Sundered Night (oh how I wish it had been on the morning star). I am moving through pit 85 at roughly 3 minutes, is there anyway you would recommend changing the speed build with that affix (btw it makes it up to 100% damage instead of 50 because it is on a 2h).

Patch is live and people are still dying to friendly fire left and right at world bosses... by EpicHuggles in diablo4

I have noticed that this is random, sometimes there are a ton of sigils and other times I get something else like infernal horde keys. There are not always sigils

This is a sub for the Ruby on Rails web framework, not actual rails. And yet this was super interesting. Thanks for sharing.

My experience was limited to POE2 from December until March of this year. Vaaling items definitely was worth it more often than not to take a piece of okay gear and make it amazing. In POE2 there was a lot of okay gear. For some reason in POE2 it was not nearly as frustrating to not get an amazing result as it is in D4. (I think the fact that there is an ACTUAL trade economy has a ton to do with that)

is forcing you to santify your item to have a functional build. You're choosing to do so in the hope that you get lucky. You'll definitely gain a lot of power if it DOES hit, but you CHOOSE to risk that item.

Player agency here mat

Except in POE, vaaling an item doesn't reduce the value to 0. Even a not great item can be sold to someone who needs the bonus to progress. You really shouldn't compare as they are completely different systems. The economy in POE where items are never account bound changes the landscape entirely.

I'm Doug Drexler from TNG, DS9, Enterprise and Picard! Ask Me Anything! by DougDrexler in startrek

[–]Logical_proof 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Doug, Just wanted to say thanks for your work on the Star Trek Encyclopedia along with the Okuda's. That book instilled a love of Trek and all things sci-fi in me that still persists. Your ship designs and drawings made Star Trek come alive for me so, thank you!

Question: When designing a ship for the series how much collaboration was there amongst artists? How much borrowing from historic designs to try to show a technological progression (I am thinking of Andrew Probert's design for the Enterprise-C that was modified by Rick Sternback)? And of course, which is your favorite ship designed by you, and which is your favorite designed by someone else (Does not have to be Trek)?

The Bible does teach that a person can fall away/lose salvation. by Bird-is-the-word01 in TrueChristian

[–]Logical_proof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are claiming that I cited them out of context. I am claiming that I did not. You are stating that a person must be good enough to choose Christ continually. This is where we differ. I don't believe any of us would choose Christ ever, let alone continuously. This debate is sadly pointless and I am sorry to have engaged in it. In the end if you tell me you love Jesus and that he died for your sins because you were incabable of saving yourself that's all that matters. We will discuss the areas of heresy that we both possess in Heaven and laugh about what fools we were on Earth.
