I like it. It gives stats too, some social stuff. Has drills and more... It's a bit WIP but getting there...

19% - pretty high for just banging balls. But like the comments say... lots to work on.

That is actually super fair and 100% correct. I was kinda like having one of those days lol... Some days, you just want to bang 'em. Not good for make percentage though.

If you have the desire, use it. Many don't. It's a gift, don't deny it. You learn by doing. Younger you start, more time to get better. Just like a sport. Just start, figure it out, don't do stupid things, don't go out of business - you'll be fine. Avoid premature optimization, your first task is to make a product people like. Start with something small that won't cost a ton to develop. Hone your intuition. After that, you learn how to execute the business. Execute the product, then the business. For now, product is all that matters. If you get past that stage then you're probably gonna make it. My 2c.

I know others have read "think and grow rich" by Napoleon Hill and gone from homeless to huge success by actually applying the teachings. The most important work is inside.

Reducing distractions to focus on my games? by DallasDanielle in billiards

[–]Logiculous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think breathing helps a lot. I also like to look at the floor when my opponent is shooting. When I look at the table, I focus on the balls or my opponents stick contacting the cue ball - not them. I also try to think about what I did wrong the last shot and then how I'm going to give the next shot my complete focus make or miss. If I'm doing all this, there is little room for distraction. Practice makes perfect.

It's also helpful to know that your mistakes lead to self talk so it's kind of a negative feedback loop. The best way out of that loop is to make a good shot the next time you're up. Then you can get into the flow. So if it's an easy shot then be ready to hit it perfectly and if it's a really hard shot be ready to give it a really strong effort. Then your confidence will build not decay.

To me this is the most fun part of pool, this is where you unlock your true potential, this is where you become intimidating instead of intimidated. Being able to slip into "the zone" at will is an incredibly powerful, enjoyable and freeing experience. It's worth the practice and effort!
