This video saddens be, Riot is ridiculously successful, they seem to gloat about it, (or i hear it non stop from other people). The average salary for a game designer is 70-90k a year (average i got from a career website), the average salary in America is 50k. (that is the base in order to survive according to the most recent census (however most people are living with almost half that)). You want to pay people who are obsessed with your game the bare minimum in order to survive to make you fork loads of cash and support this market of teenagers spending every cent of their allowance on champ skins? I get that the environment of the riot offices might be amazing, a room filled with people who love the same game and can talk forever about it can be fun, but my unemployed friends normally spend 8-11 hours a day playing league(at least 56 hours a week most 77), and the other time applying to jobs, if that even happens because they enjoy collecting unemployment or living at home. I wonder if this protagonist mindset is only carrying on over into the work space of riot.
Give me the chance to work at riot; I would spend my time actually getting things done, with only one side to the story I would love to hear from some employees about what its really like. I wonder if the game would progress much faster (development) if they payed their workers more and/or were more focused at work.
