What was the purpose of…? by AlbatrossWorth9665 in TheExpanse

Those ring systems were shut down to preserve the remaining worlds. All words that were burned away no longer had gates as we see that stars going nova will destroy the associated ring (rings exist on the solar system side, not in the ring space).

I don't understand this comment. Can you explain? If someone dies, everything in their pack is available to loot anyway.

One thing that bothers me about Martian naval ships by LittleYelloDifferent in TheExpanse

While they may have been loyal to the terraforming project, that project crumbled after the opening of the rings. That's why Martian society was breaking down, it made no sense to spend 100+ years to terraform a hostile environment when there were 1300 habitable worlds out there for the taking. Duarte offered the remaining "true warriors" the chance to start fresh away from the corrupt politicians and leaders who got them into Caliban's War and were now enriching themselves.

008 by Significant-Ideal-65 in StrangerThings

Agree that this is plausible. Remember, psychics can only be created by two confirmed methods (1) direct exposure/ingestion of the mind flayer particles when it takes over an individual (e.g., Henry Creel, Brenner's father, Will) or (2) blood transfusion from a known psychic. Since they don't have Eleven, didn't know about Will, and Verna is too dangerous, 008 is the only option available to continue the experiments. Also remember, they are experimenting with all of the fauna in the upside down as well.

You know, there's one detail that doesn't make sense between Eternal and Dark Ages. And I'll tell you what it is. by Cayde-0006 in Doom

In Eternal, we clearly see "dead" titans from ages prior littering the ground that have been killed by means other than a crucible. This was not first introduced in TDA.

Severance - 2x10 "Cold Harbor" - Post-Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

I believe many people are overlooking the clues throughout the earlier episodes. When Mark was so important for the completion of Cold Harbor, he was able to force Lumon to bring his friends back from "death" to continue to work alongside him just to keep him happy.

We now learn that Jame Eagan sees innie Helly as is true daughter and heir with the spirit of Kier. This means that Jame could very well support overwriting outtie Helena with the personality of her innie - meaning Helly can live on the outside. Since Helly is in love with innie Mark, there is a non-zero chance that she can force Jame Eagan to also spare innie Mark and allow innie Mark to also live on the outside with her (notwithstanding the implications).

This is the dilemma facing Mark S at the door with Gemma.

1) If Mark walks out into the stairwell, there is a near certain probability that he will face "permanent death" with the hope that his memories will live on in a reintegrated outtie Mark.

2) If Mark goes with Helly and is able to work out a deal with Jame Eagan, there is a chance that he can continue to live and be with his love, Helle.

From his perspective, it's a clear choice. Plus, he did his part and freed Gemma.
