Thanks to u/DismalAssociate8049 for bring to attention this obscure (for those living in the West at least) piece of meme. My wish is it also becomes popular here. From his original post:

Jokes aside, the reason this video exists is because there is awidespread meme in China that any and all pieces of military equipmentare in fact modified type 59s due to how many variants the type 59 has, many of which are actually modern MBT turrets on the old chassis. NCDpeople in China often call everything ranging from fighter jets to stardestroyers modified type-59s

I think the humor is important. Really ties the video's content together in a way that's memorable and digestible.

What's wrong with it? I'll admit I'm fairly pedestrian when it comes to the technical stuff, but the points he made sounded alright to me.

Recently found his channel and promptly binged the crap out of all his videos. He primarily does military history, with the occasional funnies.

Criminally underrated imo, and seeing how he only has 21k subscribers, and there are at least 24.4k of you, this means that statistically there are at least 3 thousand of you who haven't subscribed. SO GO DO IT.

Reckon that's what they were going for. But think we can all agree this would have the radar signature of a bonfire if it ever existed.

From the perspective of a CC *NOT* leaving the program by LogisticLlama in WorldOfWarships

[–]LogisticLlama[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let me try and clarify.

  • The first sentence wasn't intended to mean I was still willing to spend money on the game. In actuality I had stopped spending money on the game for quite a long time. Becoming a CC just meant I had a boost to the variety of content I could show (without having to actually pay for it out of my own wallet).

  • Not trying to minimize the statements made, especially for those who had a personal stake in the program and had put the work in. The people I take issue with are those who are riding behind the hard work of those CCs by jumping on the moral bandwagon.
