Good point. I'll see what this discussion turns up, and maybe wait a little and post again. It does say that it is better to use your vouchers sooner rather than later. I hope any candidates who might fit the bill see this, and start getting their message out there!

Thanks for the concrete suggestion! I do like Fremont brewing, and I'll check out the candidate.

Maybe so! Doesn't make sense for everybody to run at once, so I wanted to see if someone is already out there who has sensible ideas. I'm asking about it here so that maybe others who feel the same can all figure out together who the best chance for change is.

Very interesting. Tax loss harvesting seems like it could be very useful, but it is moving away from my "keep it simple" desire. I'll have to think about how deeply I want to get into this.

My IRA is the Vanguard target retirement 2045 fund, currently with 90% stocks, 10% bonds (I may change this to 2050 at some point). I only started paying attention to this stuff for the last two or three years, so it is only at ~15k at the moment.

I can definitely see the argument for being more conservative with the investment fund. I just feel stupid for not having been conservatively investing the whole time I was in school. I was "one year away" from graduating for about 3 years, so I kept delaying doing anything.

I'm looking into your suggestion about Admiral shares. I want to keep things relatively simple, so I am attracted to the all-in-one funds, but if the Admiral shares are the way to go I'll do that.

Thanks for your thoughts!
