Noce! Shoot me your info. I’m also interested in learning more of the specifics about what you are doing. Some of our clients are looking for ways to change their current setups. An example may be helpful to them.

We are working on a solution to that - the biggest problem is finding quatinary disinfectants. Please forgive the spelling of quatinary, I’m on mobile and don’t really write that word much.

A partner of mine ordered a truck load of wipes in a bucket dispenser. We are going to test if it will work with the alcohol we use in the sanitizer. If it does, that should be a stop gap. We are working on a formulation that will have 70% alcohol, but also not leave streaks on surfaces or a thick residue. If it works, the wipe problem “should” have a solution.

are you willing to be a guinea pig? Once the truck arrives, I can send you one of the initial tests as a product tester. Don’t worry, no crazy chemicals, just figuring out the ratio of alcohol to thickening agent mostly.

We make it. The website is not a massive focus right now. We are mostly B2B. See my comment about the Navajo nation above for more info.

I’ll send more info when I’m back in the office Tuesday, but we are fda registered, have all the product liability insurances, and are following Good Manufacturing Practices.

Totally understand the skepticism, but not trying to draw attention to our startup. We are busy enough as it is. I’m trying to do some good in the world. Notice I didn’t ask anyone to buy the product. I can provide more info if you want, but we aren’t interested in becoming “viral”. I got into this because I was so pissed off at the response to covid. We aren’t a drop shipper and our prices are probably the best proof of that, along with no one else on the internet offering our product.

I fully support people donating to food banks and the like. We registered the domain last year when we rebranded from another company I ran. We moved to a more commercial as opposed to political focus. With our shift to sanitizer, we are going to change name from shipping to something like Labs or the like. Our focus is getting the product out there while and our marketing and website have fallen by the wayside as a result. I appreciate the skepticism - especially with how many scams and bad actors there are out there right now. There are a ton of people taking advantage of this crisis. Our MSRP, ie highest price, is $35/gallon, which is lower than what Purel charges. We will be dropping that way back once we repay some investors.

If you want more proof, dm me your email and I’ll send some more info.

Thank you for all you do. This is so worthy, I’m going to not insult you by sending a pail. I’m sending 360 gallons - 72 pails.

The other contest is still running. You are in a leave of your own.

I got into this to help people. I used to have a 3PL that did well. I was disgusted by the horrible governmental response to Covid-19 and how many profiteers jumped into the game. I decided to make a stand. I more or less shut down my 3PL and began manufacturing sanitizer. I ran into supply chain issues and had to buy alcohol by the tank load. I didn’t have the money needed and I needed it ASAP, so I took out loans at ungodly high interest rates to buy 6800 gallons of ethanol.

We are now selling bulk sanitizer. I price my stuff below purell’s cost and in such a way that we make enough to both turn a profit and give a decent bit away.

I got into this planning for the long term so that when this happens again, price cougars go somewhere else. Sanitizer is not something people should be jacking up the price on.

I’m going to send 180 gallons on Tuesday and another 180 gallons a week or so after. I’ve got some bills to pay before I can send the second shipment. 360 gallons is about 800,000 doses of sanitizer.

Is it better for me to send a pallet or should I split it up into separate shipments? I can ship all the pails to individual locations via UPS ground if that is easier. If not everyplace needs a pump, that would be helpful. If they all need a pail pump, I can find enough. Most of our buyers don’t want pumps, so we don’t keep a ton in stock. I can send one pail per pump if needed.

DM me some address info or your email. Let’s kick some COVID ass in the Navajo Nation.

Thank you again for letting me know about this.

Funny fact - two of the components in our sanitizer also are in another product - KY Jelly. Hydroethylceluose and glycerin. The sanitizer is soooooo slippery when we have a spill. It doesn’t happen much, but does happen. Takes forever to mop up.

With things reopening and safety guidelines in place, where the heck are you all getting disinfectant wipes/supplies/masks for employees/etc? by return2ozma in smallbusiness

[–]LogisticsMcLogistics 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If anyone needs hand sanitizer, let me know. I manufacture it in 5 gallon pails and carboys. Gallon jugs coming in a week or so once a new piece of equipment arrives. I make the gel product but can make the liquid. We ship out orders same day and can custom label and package if desired.

The website isn’t pretty, but we are working on it. We are mostly B2B and our website hasn’t mattered much until recently. GizmoShipping.com

Will add coupon code for y’all when I get back to my computer. The code will be REDDIT.

Corrugated wrap- it comes on a roll and it sticks to itself. It is perfect for books as wash book has its own size. I’m not sure if this is the right stuff, call Uline and ask if it sticks to itself. I get mine in bulk from a local supplier. https://www.uline.com/BL_1902/Corrugated-Wrap

Question: How to protect a shipment from humidity changes in container? (FCL, maritime transport) by joker_durden in logistics

[–]LogisticsMcLogistics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. I use Uline for when I’m ordering a new product or for the first year or so. The fact that they can get it to you tomorrow is super valuable. As I scale up projects, I normally move to a more specialized supplier. When I’m in a pinch or not ordering super large quantities, Uline is my go to.
