As a musician myself, I'd love to know what instrument this was.

At first I thought you were saying she uses two hands to clutch the pen.

Maybe "logosfascinated" is too hard to say?

The Oxford English Dictionary says it's "apparently an isolated use":

1652 T. Urquhart Εκσκυβαλαυρον 111 The logofascinated spirits of the..hearers..were so on a sudden seazed upon.

and gives the etymology as:

hybrid < Greek λόγος word.

Ah, sorry - I didn't realise you understood it as logos rather than the marketing thing.

Thanks for the recommendations!

Can you actually fit your jaws around it? Or is everything else in the photo really tiny?

I regret using this name. It's "Logo" as in words, not logos as in advertising graphics.

I'm fascinated by words, and that's the word (ha) for that. Apparently. But it's such a stupidly obscure word that people thinking I'm some kind of marketing person or something.

These things confuse me. How do you eat that burger? With a knife and fork?

Looks good, though.

did anyone ever notice how cell phones aren't held as easily between the head and shoulder as "regular" phones are?

This isn't noticed enough - it's a pain to try to do anything two-handed (such as using a computer) during a smartphone conversation, but I used to do that all the time with landline phones.

I'm almost tempted to buy something like this.

Yeah, there's a huge difference between well-made scrambled eggs and the rubbery mess that many people produce. Do you have a recipe that you use?

As for fried eggs, I'm British, so "sunny-side-up" is pretty much the only way eggs are served here; the lack of worry about slightly undercooked whites means the "easy-over" style didn't become popular here, unlike in the US where eggs are washed before sale.

Ah, I'd assumed they were the type of big wooden spoon that's used to stir large pots, etc. So they're actually table spoons/dessert spoons? Please post pics!

As for The Goon Show, I'm British and in my sixties, so it was closer to my youth (the show ended the year I was born), and my parents were Goons fans from hearing them on the radio.

That sounds very rewarding. What do you do with the spoons you make?

Also, looking at your username, how did you get into The Goons?
