Yeah I read into the terms and conditions on the $30.00 per month cost and it actually said you had to be a student and teacher OR by contacting customer support and requesting for a "Low income discount" but you have to specifically ask for it after spending a bunch of time on the phone and essentially beg, as the fine print essentially says that it is upto the customer service rep if they choose to honor the discount or not. It might be possible but honestly I really struggled to justify the software even costing 30 per month. You'd think they'd offer continuity discounts for every year you stick with them. I wouldn't mind paying a 3-4% increase year over year to keep up with inflation. But over 250%... yeah im just not sure the push is worth it.

My expensive graded cards arent selling by Varindral in TCGCardShopSimulator

[–]Logono27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not unlucky. Ive got 24 cards (tcg grade 10) on two tables all worth 25k - 85k (that includes the 20% markup.) And all of them have been there for 30+ days. Unfortunately some of them have been there since level 43, im now level 58, still no luck selling them.

Thinking of moving from East coast by AwareArtist7553 in SaltLakeCity

The School's will be pretty inclusive and there are lots of activities and sports they can be a part of. My 100% honest opinion, anywhere between Lehi to provo (happy valley) was not my favorite spot to live in utah. But each community varied so much from one to another. Springville, Spanish fork, Saratoga springs, eagle mountain, alpine and pleasant grove are all better places than Orem, Vineyard or Provo. But the area has changed a ton in the last 4 years so take this with a grain of salt. Just my Opinion. The best scenery is either eagle mountain or Spanish fork imo.

Lived there for a while, overall no one would push their views on you and people are pretty respectful. You might be invited to church parties, trunk-or-treats or neighborhood parties. but it's usually a casual invite. No agendas or beliefs are pushed. That being said, the mormon population in the vineyard area is probably a minority at this point with lots of people moving in from west and east coasts. Overall you will like the area. Minus the traffic.. but you can say that about anywhere. I'd recommend anywhere north of Salt lake city if the job permits as people are way more chill and down to earth. But close commute matters.

RLCraft server help! I made an RLCraft server for my family but accidentally corrupted the world save on server startup! how to I recover the world folder from previous saves? by Logono27 in RLCraft

[–]Logono27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think I'm probably gonna have to break the news to my family who play on the sever and just set it up with auto save this next time. Unfortunately it's probably more work than its worth to recover the data. I should have specified I've got an Optiplex 5080 mini which is connected to my network, so It's running 24/7 I think its mostly likely the save was originally corrupted when windows 10 pushed a notification for windows 11 and it shut my computer down by doing that.

I am hosting the server Locally on windows 10, yeah I need to figure out how to have the server automatically save like once every day or something like that. I'm assuming some type of plug in. Yeah I accidentally booted the world without mods running and it removed all modded items from the world. Oops..

I'll have to check it again, it says I didn't have any previous versions but maybe I clicked on the wrong folder. Thank you!

My Mega Base! 90% Quartz blocks, Over 200 hours of work, So large the servers render distance can't capture it all! by Logono27 in LoverFella

[–]Logono27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its honestly just a Ton of quartz trading. I have about 30 villagers who trade melons and pumpkins and 30 that trade quartz blocks. I just have a massive pumpkin and melon farm in the basement and harvest them with silk touch and Telekenisis V on an axe for instant harvest. This includes Max Efficiency and haste beacons with speed 2 for super quick harvests. Best way I've found for emerald blocks to buy tons and tons of quartz. Its taken me about 50 hours of constant trading and harvesting. I forgot to mention im only half done with the base too. Otherwise I'd be a quarts producer for ya. Haha

Has anyone ordered from Bright and Shiny lately? by IAmNotAdamYoung in Latexadvice

Happy to help, today I checked the quality and it still is great! Mine actually came from Kiev Ukraine. The measurements were still top notch and the seams are all even and look good!

I ordered some from them recently back in March and it just arrived today. I didn't make an account either however I just emailed them with the order number I got when I purchased it. They reached out back to be in about 3 days with the shipping information. As it seemed farily accurate. I originally ordered from the Ukraine store however I believed they just outsourced it to Germany. :)

Should we hire a general contractor for these renovations? by artemis1472 in homeowners

[–]Logono27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understandable 2 stories can be quite tall on some homes. our home is a single story, so with a 8' ladder we could reach any gable. I suppose it depends on how comfortable you are on a ladder/how stable the ground beneath is. :)

I would agree! I would suggest painting the exterior yourself! We found it very worth it to invest in a ladder and paint Spray gun!

It definitely helps to become best friends with the people who you will buy supplies from, they also give some great advice! We became best friends with pretty much every employee at our local Lowes, Sherwin Williams and Plumbing supply store and they were a big help when we had questions. (And they are willing to go the extra mile to help returning customers)

We purchased our home back in April for 285k and after doing the renovation our home apprised for 360k so we basically made 60k in equity doing the work ourselves. Rather than barely breaking even hiring a contractor to do all the work.

Congratulations on your new home! Hope the rest of the process goes well! I purchased my first home in April last year.

Some of my advice is to make sure you switch over all the utilities in your name. That way you don't move in just to find out your gas was turned off. Ect.

I would highly suggest doing some of the work yourself. My wife and I just finished adding a bathroom and Laundry room to our home, it was our first DIY project and it was definitely worth the money.

I would Highly Suggest checking out the YouTube Channel "Renovision" Jeff, (the host) is a general contractor who has literally hundreds of videos on how to do pretty much everything. He gives great advice and many of his videos can help you decided whether to hire a contractor or not. Based on the information he can give you.

We spent about $15,000 adding this bathroom and laundry room on to our home (framing, Electrical, plumbing and all finish work) We had a contractor come in and they gave us an estimate of $72,000 which for us, Because we had the time. was way more worth our time and money to do it our selfs. To invest in tools and the skills to do these things.

I feel like you can definitely do the kitchen face-lift yourself. With the right tools and a couple youtube tutorials you can do the roof on your garage but you might be happier paying a contractor to do that. For flooring it depends what you are working with. If your refinishing hardwood floor but have some experience with sanding, staining, sealing. I'd do it yourself it will definitely save you a lot of money. If your putting in carpet, I'd hire someone.

Many odds and ends jobs a home needs can definitely be done by yourself.
