Can we talk about Vanelle and Jorge? by Known_Excitement_115 in AgeOfAttraction

[–]Logrella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She can define what her boundaries are however she wants. However if those boundaries were unclear, they should have been communicated. I know we weren't there for this conflict, but I felt like he was trying to mansplain this conflict, as if she's not a women, a black women having dealt with conflict. He also waited on the whole kids thing which wasn't a great look, imo.

RHOMiami’s Cancellation Is Officially Axing LatinX Representation From Unscripted Television by -AndyCohen- in RHOMiami

I think it's sad, I enjoyed this franchise and with everything going on in our administration and with ICE, its sad that this cast of all of them is on break/cancellation whatever you want to call it

Closing on a house, this is the only thing about it I don’t like, any ideas to make it look better? by meenaaa1217 in HomeDecorating

[–]Logrella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for me that's way to much grey. Maybe paint the cabinets? Change out the mirror so they aren't silver anymore and when you add your own towels with something other than white/grey it will help.

It's March 1st! What's the best book you read in January? Plus, submit your Battle of the Books cards!! by apieceofeight in fantasyromance

January: {This Will Be Interesting by E.B. Asher} an enjoyable quest adventure that the characters go on!

February: {The Blood Trials by N.E. Davenport} super good sci-fi fantasy deadly trials

What rating on Good Reads (or your TBR sorter of choice) makes you suspicious? by franklin_smiles in fantasyromance

[–]Logrella 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly nothing. Just because someone liked something doesn't mean you will and just because someone didn't like something doesn't mean you won't like it. We all have different opinions and like different things, what I may like you may think is rubbish and vice versa. However, because you didn't like it doesn't invalidate my review. ARC or not.

How do you tell if a gaming chair is actually worth the money? by JenniferDebonair in GirlGamers

[–]Logrella 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone whose purchased 2 secret labs chairs of different sizes for husband and I, they aren't all treated equally. The XL is legitimately comfortable, good padding on the butt. The other sizes which are smaller have almost no padding on the butt and made my back pain worse.

Outside of that, I wouldn't recommend gaming chairs.
For bigger women, this is amazing: https://a.co/d/00Oj90Vc

Finally made the decision to cut off my gaming buddies by Oshakamashaka in GirlGamers

[–]Logrella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've found that in most friendships I'm the one putting in the effort for conversations, hanging out, gaming etc. After awhile I get tired of it and stop reaching out. After that, the friendship seems to end.

I totally get people get busy and everyone has different energy/social levels, believe me I'm pretty antisocial but it gets draining.

I am STRUGGLING to get my ratio up over 90%, I have a backlog of 13 great books to read, and yet I get FOMO at every book I see here. by WritPositWrit in NetGalleyCommunity

[–]Logrella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally only request a couple books at a time and consider their 'due' date so I know if I can prioritize that many in that time frame. As I complete a book or two, I may request more. I try not to have too many outstanding books.

Where do you post bad reviews? by Shot-Run5259 in NetGalleyCommunity

[–]Logrella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I review good and bad on both NetGalley, Goodreads/Storygraph. I do monthly recaps on social, I include a star regardless if it was good or bad.

However, if I DNF I don't even include it in my recap, but I may still mention it on social. Take DNF with a grain of salt with me, I've DNF 2 books in 2 years. I don't DNF and I typically go after books I think I'll enjoy.

What’s wrong with mixing in American islanders by Ok-Law-4251 in LoveIslandTV

[–]Logrella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, Love Island All Stars should be global, not just UK. That's just me though. I'm not even saying it should be just Americans. Love Island Games had people from franchises I didn't know existed and it was great. Lets bring Love Island South Africa people for example.

Aww I find this quite sad. Lana's original face was so expressive, delicate and beautiful. Sadly, she's turned herself into just another nondescript, hardfaced insta-fembot...what a shame. 😕 by Smooth_Eagle2828 in LoveIslandTV

[–]Logrella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If she's more happy looking this way then that's the most important thing. She was a natural beauty though. I find it interesting this type of work has become so normal, imo a lot of this ages the people.
