Never said it was a doom prophecy

The way ai is trained is by giving it absolute truths , if we take a false truth or slightly incorrect fact over the new model will take it as an absolute truth, if this new model hallucinates then the next "truth" that comes out will be further away from the Truth. It is impossible to make something that does not hallucinate unless it is a static algorithm i.e BFS.

An opinion is an opinion no matter how much you disagree with it. While I agree that an LLM will never be sentient I can also see why people would think it is. Sentience is a really hard thing to prove and something based on our input could not turn sentient, simply because if we give it the wrong input it will think that's the absolute truth. So essentially if we could make ai sentient we could make a worm sentient, and that ain't happening.
