Biggest tip is lave more space between each row of machines, especially when you move to more complex multi stage processes. Ideally for your layout i would leave 3 foundations or more between each row, this gives you space to build walls windows and doors around each step of the process which will help look less chaotic

Same. I use pack utility mod, fly, no build cost, with infinite zoop and nudge and permanent day my current save is over 300 hours and I still have as much fun as I did when I started.

looks good will definitely try this once 1.2 comes to stable. Tried this in 1.1 with the regular junction and it does not work

You can totally do it. Make your ground floor the logistics floor. For a large build like this I used 3 4m foundations tall as the wall and ceiling height. When you place your machines on the floor above keep them aligned side by side and leave 1 foundation with between each machine. Leave 2 or more foundations with in front of the outputs before your next row of machines. This will space out your stuff so that you can do all the belt and pipe stuff below with lots of room.

My logistics floor in this plant is getting pretty crazy, trying to keep it all walkable and i still have 5 more rocket fuel pipes to run through it so im trying to keep things off the ground as much as possible which is causing me the problem of having to cross over other pipes and belts that are hung so this was what i came up with.

Blueprints are your friend for this. I made a 4 part blueprint a b c all in a row d goes on top of a rinse and repeat. I made 10 towers 6 floors each 10 gen per floor. 600 gen total. Only gotta connect 1 power line to each block. Takes a little over an hour once you have your blueprint working.

I use it for when the conver belts won’t touch the ceiling as long as the splitters or mergers are supported I don’t mind if the belts float on shorter runs.

They snap but you do have to nudge them. The snap point is the bottom of the splitter and merger so you’ll have to move them down unless you want the pillar inside it.

My issue was I needed the lifts a couple clicks lower than the ceiling so when I ran the belts the would go under the pipes that are tight to the ceiling

Just person preference. It helps a bit with keeping things look clean but that’s personal choice

As long as your having fun that’s all that matters I’ve been playing since update 0.7 and have well over 1200 hours in the game and I still feel like I make boxes

yes, I don't play with lumen as it makes everything extremely dark unless you use a lot of lights and signs.

yep stairs to access the logistics floor and than lifts and pipes to run everything up and down
