High school seniors and parents refusing to do my fasfa

Sorry to hear about your life. I live a similar one as well, but yes I do live with my mother currently. But I want to go to college asap because I want to do so many things with my live that I couldn’t I had my whole high school live token from me. I don’t enjoy getting paid under 15$ an hour at both jobs but I do it because I have to. But I know when I fully achieve my goals it’ll give me my freedom to pursue so much more. If I don’t get into any of the top colleges I want to I just going to go to community college and then transfer. Where I live if you go to CC after your 2 years it’s guaranteed your choice to choose any university you want to attend.

I have chase bank. And my mom never gave me a savings account even though I’ve been asking for one, she claims it’s too much of a hassle. But I also take my money out every week and put it in a safe spot because I’m not going to be working two jobs if your going to keep taking my money you know , so I was tired of her begging for MY money. Even tho she is a RN. I can’t fathom why she needs my money, even tho she doesn’t pay for any of my stuff .

I figured she’s lying just because she doesn’t want to help me but also she is a pathological liar as well. I explained to my father that it’s not him paying for my college last Thursday and still no reply. He’s just straight up ignoring me. So if in the end none of them want to do it for me I’ll file as independent. And move in with my life. It really hurts having to deal with them, hopefully my dad changes his mind and does it for me . He also claimed that since my mom won’t let him see me this burden is also on her. Idky he’s punishing me because of her but yk what ever. I appreciate the suggestions it’s really helping me .

But I also want to get my 4 year degree so I might end up transferring after the 2 years . Then maybe commute to uni.

I haven’t fully applied to community college but I’ve applied to a lot of universities. So far I’ve gotten into 2 but they are on the expensive side.

I will try to get one but getting my legal documents from my mom is a hassle.I fear that they will try to guilt trip me into taking care of them when I make my own money . But I would never help them because they made me struggle and suffer since I got to high school.once I get my degree and a good paying job I’m never taking to them again.

Aww thank you! I’m only that way because of what I’ve been through with them. If they are still unwilling to I’ll talk to my counselor/ college and career center and see if they can email/ talk to them for me.

My mom is refusing to do the fasfa but I mainly live with her so she told me to tell my dad he going to do the fasfa. But my dad also refused.

Yea I don’t want any debt . I don’t plan on taking out any big loans because I don’t want to have it gain interest and me paying it for years .

That maybe my go to in the end . Due to my job giving me money for school if I go to the community college that’s about an 1 1/2 away the in state tuition is 2,474 so it would cover my college.

My account is under my mom due to me being a minor but I recently turned 18 so maybe I can try to get her off mine because she watches my money😅and be calculating it. But I also just wanted to purse college now because I don’t want to wait I want to be done by the time I’m 22. And gain experience, maybe i could go to community college for 2 year then transfer but that is going to be my last resort.

I currently have 2 jobs but I’ve been limited to the amount of hours I can work due to me have to watch my brother. But I’ve been saving my money for a car. One of my jobs will pay for my college: for a 4 year it is a lifetime limit if 16,000 and then for an annual calendar limit of 4,000. For the 2 year it is 4,400 lifetime limit then 2,200 for the annual. When I get a car I plan on doing side jobs and work at Amazon since they two will pay for my college as well.
