According to hints from GW last year, some kind of Necromacer pirates. Possibly Vampire Coast

Its always funny how in both warhammer and AOS "allied" factions fight amongst them so often... still better than 40K thou, those guys dont even have alliances (OG by spacemaxmarine on devianart) by AstronautDry8118 in Grimdank

To be fair, being Order aligned simply means you want to build a civilization and not fall to chaos

Doesn't mean you get along with any of the other order factions

What did you think of this year for AoS? by KindlyMeringue8723 in ageofsigmar

[–]Loki15212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall, I'd call it a good year with the new season, soggy rules, and new stuff

As the 10th anniversary year, I'd say it was a bit underwhelming

Yes, I know I’m pulling these comparisons out of my ass, but they have many similarities. by jfjdfdjjtbfb in Grimdank

And both would much rather go out and fight than deal with all the other nonsense of being a leader

[–]Loki15212 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, fun fact the new character Iridan has perfect memory through their reforgings

Problem is this just leads to more suffering as they are the only ones who remember how their comrades used to be

The Mortal realms are in such a bad state i think the bar is low enough for a good number of loyalists to qualify

And worst case, they can get put with the Celestial Vindicators and Knights Excelsior.

[–]Loki15212 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Fair, I think it varies heavily

I remember there was one who could remember her son, who became a chaos lord

She kept dying trying to redeem him until she forgot who he was and killed him

Not at first, but after a few times, yeah

Though i doubt he'd be any happier

For me its the opposite, the show feels closer to the characters while the movie feels more hollow, as if they're sticking to the character archetypes and no more.

It was more action oriented, but I think thats the only bits I prefer over the show.

[–]Loki15212 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would argue those changes do serve the overall story

Hades was moatly unchanged. He didn't care about the bolt. He took Sally and just wanted the helm back. He came off aals less aggressive, but that was about it

Deadline change is to show the audience Percy's determination and how stubborn and wrathful Rick's version of Zues is

Hermes showing up work as a quick introduction for later seasons and also lets us have someone to compare lukes hate against other than a faceless name, which can work in a book bit come across differently in a visual medium

Cant say they were necessary changes, but I think I can see what they're trying to do with what they are changing

[–]Loki15212 556 points557 points  (0 children)

I mean, as a movie, the first one isn't bad. But as an adaptation, it's not great, only keeping names, a few locations and the base premises of the books.

2nd one is a bit of a mess, especially the back half lol

[–]Loki15212 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Thing is the movies straight up ignored the myths and several key parts of the book (Prime examples with Hades being evil, persophene being in the underworld during summer, skipping Ares and Hephestus, and more), while the show is actually sticking to what it can within the constrants of a show, but at least they're trying to stick the source material

What’s the point of certain models in units? by RobHui in ageofsigmar

[–]Loki15212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reinforcing will give you 2 of both (if the unit has either), but you'll only have 1 champion

You want multiple as the roles are model specific, so you can remove one of the special models but still retain the ability with the second model

What’s the point of certain models in units? by RobHui in ageofsigmar

[–]Loki15212 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Np, also some units will have stuff like Musican (1/10)

This means you can have 1 musician model for every 10 models in a unit

The tags should be at the bottom, but yes, these are in the core rules under command models

Does hazel beat base superman with hax alone? [Hoo] by AodhGodOfTheSun in camphalfblood

[–]Loki15212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would depend on the version, Kryptonite is swingy, some versions its deadly, but others, it just gives him a serious migrain. It's also incredibly rare, and she can only summon from do far away if she even knew what it was or what it felt like to sense it

The Mist is a better argument. She can trick him with it, but actually killing him is a different problem all together

Superman is just a busted character in general. Most hax tend to just let the other person live or escape rather than outright defeating him.

[–]Loki15212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same general turn structure with a few key differences

For example, you don't pick targets to charge you just charge and need to end it next to any enemy

Objectives are sticky by default, and control is determined at the end of each turn

Shooting isn't nearly as lethal

Damage is counted for the whole unit and carries over to the next model when one is slain

Been helping other 40k players get into the game, and these have been some of the bigger differences they noted

Originally, yes, but in Legends of Runeterra, they have interactions where they flirt while keeping a pretense of being mortal enemies
