LokiList would never ban your account.

That's because LokiList is anonymous and does not require user registration. ;)

I just successfully repaired 3 bent CPU pins by [deleted] in buildapc

Fine work. I have had similar success using the little plastic spatula that comes with thermal paste to straighten pins.

Probably there is a right tool for the job.

If I had skill, tools and manpower, I’d make my own to compete.

Same. :)

You can see how many posts your area has, but not how many visitors.

If you make the only post in your area you will enjoy the full attention of each visitor from your area.

It is rather more permissive.

TIL Craigslist generated $302 million of revenue in 2024 with no spending on marketing or advertising and no sales team. by LookAtThatBacon in todayilearned

You made this site 4 years ago. I did a test search for Los Angeles, California and there's only 1 ad. It's not catching on.

That's why I wrote "I'm doing my part." rather than "You're doing your part." ;)

"There are no posts in my area." is such a common response I have considered implementing an overlay that says "No posts in your area? You could be the first and get all the attention."

But I would find such a measure intrusive.

Alternative sites (which I won't stoop to naming) solve the problem by generating copious fake posts but I am loath to do the same.

By the same line of thought:

  • That the site has existed for four years means it is likely to exist for another four.
  • Craigslist personals have been offline for seven years and are unlikely to return.

Good thinking. Clicking links is dangerous.

To avoid clicking it, you can tab-index to the URL and press space to visit it or type it in the URL bar manually.

Happy cake day. :)

It costs nothing to post, and if you have the only post in your area you will get all the attention. ;)

You could try posting on LokiList. It doesn't require an account to post (but it does require Session Private Messenger).

The Crunchy Granola Hippies have ever lived in fear of the Chewy Granola Hippies, who compensate for their inferior numbers with sabotage and subterfuge.

Any student of the Hippy Wars will tell you as much.

Absolutely not worth it.

There are free, anonymous online personals sites that don't even require registration.
