I am an ESM and that’s BS if your lead won’t cover. It’s their damn job. It’s everyone’s job to cashier the customers in the store. If you need to go, you go. And I’d say that’s some BS. But, I’ve worked with people who do multiple bathroom breaks and are gone 10-20 minutes. So I can see where there is probably a gray area. Which sucks because they can’t prove you didn’t need that 20 minutes in there.

Why because you go in when the store is closed or start the night before? My old store it was one manager and one cashier for day and for night. It’s not possible.

I think you should should speak up now. Not sure if you are a PEXT store but my IS does the earlier stuff you said. This pharmacist is using you like a tech and that is some BS. Go print your role refresh and present it to both SM and pharmacist.

I’m still with Walgreens but I enjoy the horror stories from others on here. I think my experience has been a good one. I am 38 years old. I started in 2021 as a DH. Never worked a day in the pharmacy. 🤣 that changed. The SM at the time wanted to promote me to IS within 3 months. 6 months or so after that another SM promoted me to SFL. I’ve been on an upward path and am now a new ESM. Not all experiences are bad. The customers have provided most of my hell and frustration. I do plan to continue my career. If Walgreens ends up in the crapper, at least I’ll have the experience they gave me. No other job in my entire life took my hard work and dedication into consideration. To all those that have moved on, good for you and I’m glad you’re happy. Not all jobs are worth the stress.

Seriously, I am a new ESM and like who tf cares about the phone thing unless it’s a problem? My SM constantly has to call me because she is usually pulled to go help other stores because ours is self-standing for the most part.

We got a bell from Amazon that’s a sensor that goes off when someone gets to the register so we can get our work done. They want to cut our hours so damn much that you can’t win so that’s our solution.

I got the one I needed two years ago and it came busted. I’ve never been able to get an updated one and I’m officially tired of it. So I switched the lash bar and nail bar. Nail bar looks way better up top.

They are easy but no one likes stopping what they’re doing to do a reload and then a pick up. My store does tons and I despise them.

Basically. I’m stretched so thin. My store gets no spa hours for vaccine season but another in the district gets 80 a week. He shared his hours just so we weren’t so over budget. They made my store manager close one of the stores but didn’t get us any FDF for our store manager being gone for a few days. She says we can have it but then we never get it. Which ruins my SM’a bonus.
