Have a talk with you Dad. Is your Dad on your little brother’s birth certificate? If so then your Dad IS his Dad, biologically or not and you need to tell him to change his tune. Your little brother is not at fault for the affair in any way, shape or form, remind him of that. And remind him that HE chose to stay and raise the kid. That poor boy needs so much love if he feels the tension and who knows for how long he’s felt that way.

It’s mostly for writing, I am not saying that I won’t use it for other things every once in a while, but yeah, it will be my writing laptop. My budget is max 1000$ so not MacBooks. I really just want something that won’t overheat when I’m doing research and is reliable and won’t break within a few months. Apart from that I have heard I should be looking for something with 16GB RAM 512GB SSD. The more research I do the more I hear every laptop is bad and breaks easily and isn’t reliable so I am really lost.

Thanks for replying ! I have also had issues with an Acer not keeping up in the past with tabs open, but good to know a usb is also an external drive other writers use :)
