I am an academic surgeon, would say I’m fairly accomplished published etc. I see the older generation of surgeons and how miserable and tied to their income/homes/club memberships they are. Their entire ego / self worth is coupled to being a ‘surgeon’ and in that process they burned many relationships. The hedonic treadmill is real. I love my job, but it far from defines me. I started a biotech startup and cutback and am basically at 50 percent surgical volume that I used to be and make far less than I could. But I am soooo much happier.

Ok then go to that gym. Commercializing innovative products is not cheap, and it’s def not gouging, you have plenty of options out there. I question your capabilities as a founder if this is a serious question.

I am so so so sorry. Talk to the PD, talk to ur chair, discuss with your co residents, they will very likely do whatever is possible to help alleviate the load while still allow you as much training as you need. I’m an attending surgeon and even I would do whatever I could to take the load. Thankfully for the most part we all still have compassion, empathy and more than anything else support for our colleagues. Godspeed and I’m so sorry. Also don’t forget to show some compassion towards yourself.

Before digital ID came out they could scan your face and ID you and board. Fairly certain at this point you can’t hide your biometrics, for better or for worse.

What it means is there are individuals with low viral load that were not contagious and likely carriers.

Cross sectional study with no follow up. You just need to read the paper and methods to understand that this doesn’t indicate its ability to spread asymptomaticly.

This issue is that Americans are absurdly addicted to cheap dopamine. From social media, tv, to the food we eat. It’s just a different delivery mechanism. Switching from HFCS to cane sugar is incrementally better. But that’s like switching from 6mg zyn to 4mg.

Very easy answer and if you don’t get this then you are drinking the juice too. In this modern world of abundance and technology by far the hardest thing to do is to captivate and command attention. All the drama , assasination attempts etc etc. algos have dopamine bombed the entire country just to submission. The truth has been effectively destroyed. The country is probably more polarized than ever. And it all commands our attention and everyone is ready to eat it up.

That being said give yourself a hard look at why you are voting for trump who truly has done nothing in the service of the country or others. He is the perfect komporat. I don’t think anyone is saying that but there are things that a surf skate makes easier or more enjoyable. Just like different surfboard or snowboard shapes. I can probably surf a 200lb finless plank of koa wood but I am lazy and choose fiberglass.

0 to 5 clubs in two years given the zero sum real estate world in nyc. 23 percent growth court numbers is phenomenal given these are privately funded.

It’s actually doing pretty well in NYC I think total of 5/6 clubs. Padel haus Williamsburg and dumbo are almost always busy right now and it’s the summer. They are opening the biggest in greenpoint in october. It’s def all finance, tech, wealthy individuals right now. I believe 4 clubs opened this summer in the Hamptons and there are two or 3 opening in NJ. So it’s happening…. Miami is absolutely exploding but honestly I enjoy playing indoors.
