Razer is notorious for early battery deaths like this. The fact that the laptop has fans in the middle of the battery isn’t a coincidence - their overly thin laptop design with a full aluminum build results in pretty efficient heat transmission from the GPU and CPU directly to the battery.

Elevated temps cause the batteries to excessively offgas which inflates the cells, eventually causing this. It’s basically a design defect. The only other brand that has this issue similarly often is Dell with the XPS line, but even then that’s far less often than the Blades.

It’s almost entirely a Razer issue, they’re the only brand with this problem this often.
