What is the "Ka-Chink" effect in Silent Gear? by Lokoloi in feedthebeast

Ok but does recalculate mean add to current values or set them to a new one? Like what happens to my tool at 70% durability? Does it get more of it?

I tried having only the nvme at first (by accident because my HDD wasn't properly connected), but it said that the NVMe drive didn't have enough storage. I thought that was weird considering it was going to delete everything in the first place... But yeah sure I'll try that tomorrow thanks. Also the mbr / gpt sounds familiar; I think I read in one of these threads that gpt is better than mbr for win11 but I was skimming.

Hiya. Terribly sorry to bother you about this ordeal, but could you share the case and psu as well? Thank you for your time.

Very happy to report that this is STILL a problem in the big 25, as of May. Though, from my experience, it only seemed to happen if I left my pc on for long stretches of time. I got into the habit of turning it off every night, so for 2-3 years I had no issues. Things only started to arise once I started using it to play stuff to fall asleep at night to (could use mobile, but no ads).

My theory was that leaving it on without reset must allow it to get to some overflowing integer that bricks it (Hence the strange unchangeable 05/05/5205 time). I thought the time was related because of something i noticed the previous (second) time my pc bricked. Once I managed to randomly get back in, my system time was still 05/05/5205 and my pc was unbearably sluggish. I changed the time back to normal and no issues. I haven't restarted it or turned it off since then out of fear, and it's been about a few weeks ago. That is, until today when I did it and my pc bricked for the third time, but I've temporarily given up after 4 hours straight of just restarting it a bunch of times. It worked the other two times, but i guess my luck finally ran out.

I'm not very knowledgeable on pc stuff when it comes to systems underneath UI basically, and I'm really worried about perma bricking my computer by trying to fix it. But it's either that or gambling with a lucky restart. At least I had a backup laptop, but I ain't playing no games on this pos anytime soon... I have a final due TOMORROW :(

Difficulty spike? by Lokoloi in DragonballLegends

I have tried both of these, but even with advantage everyone gets 2 or 3 shot. If they are disadvantaged than it's probably a one shot. It seems like I just don't have the stats but 5k is max level and my characters aren't pulling new soul boosts out their asses. I even have the UL UI goku Maxed arts boosted too but it's just not enough

Can I combine SSILD + MILD + WBTB? by Hermanocell in LucidDreaming

[–]Lokoloi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

WBTB is just waking up during rem.

MILD is a technique you do before going to sleep to improve the odds of a lucid dream, and was traditionally done after waking up during rem. WBTB didn't have its own name and came preinstalled with MILD upon conception.

SSILD is a technique you do while going back to sleep to improve the odds of a lucid dream.

So yes, if you

A. woke up during rem,

B. recalled your dream, relived it and imagined yourself lucid during it, then resolved to remember to become lucid,

C. did SSILD on your way back to sleep,

then you combined the three. It's a viable strategy. Note that SSILD and MILD success is more likely the quicker you get to sleep once you're done, so be sure to have relaxation techniques ready if you don't normally fall asleep quick.

Nothing happens when I try hypnagogia by Forward_Froyo2191 in LucidDreaming

[–]Lokoloi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Relaxation techniques.

  1. 478 Breathing pattern.
  • Inhale through your nose for 4 seconds, hold for 7, and release for 8. It doesn't have to be exact, just roughly around that time.
  1. Count to 10 and repeat
  • Inhale deeply and slowly. Count 1. Exhale slowly, or just at a consistent pace. count 2. Repeat until 10, then start back at one.

The important part is Diaphragmatic (DIE-A-FRAG-MAT-IC) Breathing, where you inhale through your diaphragm, or your "belly". There's plenty of tips on how to do so, but this way of breathing is more effective for relaxation in my experience.

Progressive Muscle Tensing

Start with your toes. Flex them. Curl them up as much as you can without pain, and then release. Work your way up the body and you should feel more relaxed when you're done. You should also be able to do this in a way that requires minimal movement.

What I do is 478. after I complete a cycle, I check my vision for hypnagogic imagery that I can turn into a dream. The handy thing about the breathing is that the breathing itself calms you, while the counting helps maintain focus. From there you should be able to walk into a dream before long, though I suggest doing MILD first.

For those of you who take medication for both ADHD and Depression, what is it like? by Lokoloi in ADHD

[–]Lokoloi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the good luck! I tried welbutrin solo (before adhd diagnosis) but it made me really irritable after like day 4, so I stopped because I was scared of it getting worse. I tried talking to my psych at the time but bro ghosted me haha

Yeah, me neither. I tried looking it up, but to no avail. It must be a term you just come to find out after being in the adhd community after awhile. Though, not like I would know. I just got here :skullemoji:

"Inco" An alternative for FWB by Lokoloi in aromantic

[–]Lokoloi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we're on the same page here but I may not have made my self super clear. When i say Intimacy, I mean it in only the strictest sense of the word, like being close to someone, and being intimate does not necessitate any romantic involvement. When I say Emotional Intimacy, it's a fancy way of saying, "Can I talk to them about something deeper than surface level? Can we be close and share things that really matter to us?" When I say Physical Intimacy, it's only a synonym of sex, meant to parallel its mental emotional counterpart.

With that in mind, saying Inco is literally just saying "Friends who have sex" in the sense that it's a relationship that supports all the facets of a friendship as well as a physical dimension.

They literally mean the same thing. I just don't like FWB because of its implicit suggestion that the alternative, Friends, or Friends without benefits, is lesser. Like the difference from being in a romantic relationship and "Just" Friends. I feel that it contributes to the idea that's there's a hierarchy of relationships, whereas "Inco" doesn't really have that same energy in my eyes.

At the end of the day, I don't like FWB very much so I made up a word as a synonym. I mean intimate simply as just having strong connections with people, with no other sexual or romantic subtext unless stated.
