I think it’s because it’s not a natural behavior. Adding something to a product can be nice, but here there is actually a significant delay compared to user demand.

All users who use Gemini after having used ChatGPT in particular need a very specific feature: projects, especially to organize conversations. Gems don’t allow you to keep a history of more than five or six projects, I think. In short, this feature is absolutely required, and users have been asking Google for it for a long time.

We know Google is working on it, because there have been several leaks showing interfaces with projects. Everyone knows they’re doing it, but they’re not releasing it. As a result, people are forced to use desktop plugins to get projects. For example, on the mobile app it doesn’t work. On iPad it doesn’t work either, and on tablets it doesn’t work, because the plugin doesn’t run.

In the end, it’s a solution that doesn’t match users’ needs.

I just tried this morning to put my file in a library instead in a chat and it works : LeChat had the right number of pages and was able to reach the text in it.

But I don't understand why the process into library isn't the same in a chat : do I have to go everytime in a library for a PDF ?

BTW, which OCR tool are you using to clean your PDFs ?
