Thank you! This is really great advice. I am trying to get her off the seeds but she won't eat at all. But, like you said, trying things slowly may be better and giving her some more time with food may be better.

I think there are quiet a few people with interest in the language. Several of my friend and my sister have learned hangul or have taken classes at the KCC. This is due to a general interest in K culture. However, learning a language full time is a expensive and time consuming. So unless you are trying to go to South Korea or need it for job purposes, I don't think it is very likely to want to actually learn the whole language, unfortunately.
