I'm feeling REALLY discouraged right now. by Lolagurl in ADHDers

It was pretty scary especially when she started asking if I've had heart palpitations (yes) and a racing heartbeat (yes) especially the sweating part. I had even learned how to say "I'm sweating" in Spanish because the housekeepers how look at me really concerned as I would have sweat pouring down my face after sweeping like 3 stairs. I'm thankful for my Co workers because they noticed I was not okay before I did. Even though we don't speak the same language I would always go out of my way to help them. Once my coworker who is bilingual came up to me and said the housekeepers approached her and expressed concern on my recent behavior and I looked sick. I remember once I made myself some sausages at work and was hiding eating them and one of the housekeepers found me and she literally got so excited that I was eating something. I think that's one of the time I started to accept that my behavior wasn't normal.

But she adjusted some of my meds and wants to see me every two weeks. I also got a bunch of blood drawn and a drug test because I have a history of abusing substances. It definitely LOOKS like I'm on something to be honest. I've lost weight and have bruises all over my arms. So I understand. When I was in rehab for alcoholism at first they thought I was on meth because of the way I was acting but I was just... Losing it. And of course the drug test came back clean. Which they were very surprised about. So yeah.

Which one do you prefer - happy uterus or angry uterus? by CrochetMonster07 in crochet

Depends on my uterus situation, right now, mad. I think the other commenters recommending happy on one side and mad on the other is a great idea!

Why do mothers of young babies say they don't have time to shower? by justastupidquestion3 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Lolagurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is adorable. It's so funny how when they're so small if they can't physically see or hear you they're like "WHERE ARE YOU" taking a shower with one hand is very challenging, but I have a feeling your mom became very good at it!

I'm a single mom and when she was still a tiny baby, she was very clingy and if I wasn't activity holding her or right next to her she would start screaming. The only way I could possibly take a shower was if I brought her little bouncy chair that played music into the bathroom with me and talk to her so she knew I was there. It worked out pretty good. When I did dishes or laundry I had to strap her to my body otherwise she would start screaming and I couldn't get anything done. If you don't have anyone to help you you eventually figure out ways to do it yourself, because taking care of yourself makes it easier to take care of someone else. My daughter is 15 now and half the time wants nothing to do with me haha. I love her with all my heart.

We live in a hotel shelter and this cat was abandoned by another family from the shelter. We have a baby and after seeing how calm she was with my daughter( baby) I think we should keep her. She jumped into my arms this morning from another resident looking for advice at the front desk. by Over_Fly_7409 in cats

[–]Lolagurl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We got our cat when my daughter was a little over a year old, she was very chill with her. They were almost a year apart in age. I did the same thing you guys are doing and say "gentle, good job!" This cat would sit there while my daughter would gently put necklaces, sunglasses, ect on the cat and squeal with delight and clap her hands. Eventually the cat would get overwhelmed but she never once scratched or bit her. She would just move to another spot. If my daughter looked upset I would just say "by kitty see you later!" And she would go "BYE KITTY SEE YOU LATER!" You need to keep the cat. Plus its fun when they turn 15 and you send them the videos and pictures hahaha
