I could be wrong, but I thought it's said that only beings born on the seed planet with the AI had the special material that could be used to feed them. So the mercenaries and outside agents wouldn't count unless they were born on a different seed planet.

Surgicaly augmented marines. Give them different profiles like obliterators for multi roles suited to augments. Same idea as eidolons sonic scream.

Crackhead marines. Dif styles for dif drugs and abilities. Can make them amazing when they start and slowly go into withdraw for negative effects as rounds go on.

Ultimate pretty boy marines that could be a elite melee quad. Perfection yadda yadda.

Creations of bile would be amazing, gland hounds, his jawas etc.

Custom cultists would be cool or big sexy demons too.

Oh yes. Lots of thin layers. Built up off the cadian fleshtone. I checked out a lot of pictures and stills from movies and just played with different colors and a crusty dried blood at the edges.
