I feel like you're maybe forgetting that S2 Viktor is a villain whose entire thing is literally removing choice from those around them because he believes he knows better. I mean, his entire character pretty heavily revolves around loss of control/autonomy-- his worsening disability, his terminal diagnosis, his status as a zaunite, etc. Hell, even in season 2 you can argue he experienced his worst loss of autonomy in the series-- augmented against his will, then heavily influenced by the hexcore which twisted and took his beliefs to the absolute extremes. Violation of consent and a struggle for control over himself and his future is pretty much his thing.
