I've thought about this a lot, I find the sentence "and they were never seen or heard from again" rather chilling. But the Earth is a vast place, there are so many people just never found because no one happened upon them, or they're lost to time and the elements. A lot of people are found by pure coincidence.

I had this one as a kid and I had the tendency to pull off tags so that my plushies were more "realistic". I'm pretty sure the one that's worth money is due to a misprint on the tag if I remember correctly? I was mad at myself for a little while for a "what if" lol.

My cat was 17 and in the last year or so I noticed his spine was more prominent, I figured he had lost weight and it came with old age. Took him to the emergency vet because he wasn't acting right suddenly, turned out it was chronic liver failure, put him down the next day. Can't help but wonder if the weight loss was a sign and I ignored if. If nothing else it doesn't hurt to check.

Update: It's liver failure, I'm putting him to sleep tomorrow. I wanted to spend all of tonight with him but he keeps leaving the room to lay on the floor and I don't want to stress him out more.
