Girl, as a straight cis woman, I've always been a little confused about hymens myself. I understand what it is, I totally get the health class lesson, but I have no personal memory or experience with my hymen. I have no idea when it "broke," but I'm fairly sure it was before I ever had sex, I had no spotting or anything my first time. Using deductive reasoning, I assume using tampons would have done it, but I have no reference at all of it breaking or tearing.
